Trois jours passés au Pearl pour affaire. Le staff est très serviable et agréable, l'hôtel est très proche du centre ville et le restaurant Thaï accolé est très bon et abordable. Connexion internet fiable. Aspects négatifs: chambre très sombre même avec toutes les lumières allumées, ils ont voulu reproduire cet ambiance lounge dans les chambres ce qui n'est pas pratique pour travailler (il manque une lampe sur le bureau). Les chambres n'ont pas de fer à repasser il faut demander à la réception. La pression de la douche est très très faible. En résumé, bon hôtel pour visiter la ville, pas équipé pour des voyages d'affaire

Room NOT as described on site. NOT spacious, NOT comfortable (thin mattress, horrible pillows and summer quilt in middle of winter) NO Desk and chair, NO restaurant for breakfast (ate it sitting on edge of bed on tray). Reception staff toyally disinterested in responding to my complaints (effectively 'you booked the cheapest room - that's what you got, stop complaining').

Hotel location is good 5mins to town centre. Raidiators didn’t work in room ( I did report it). That said there is a warm air unit in the room. Pillows are terrible. Wi-FI is good.

Good value for money.
Start with the cons; Floor was dirty. Shower was half broken. For a supposed 4 star - this was not expected. What are the pros? That said, it was cheap hotel so limited room to complain. I would still recommend this place. The TV has all necessary functionalities for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was cheap and good as well.

Horrible. Loud AF air con unit which is the only way to heat the room so the air becomes dry over night. Paper thin walls so you can clearly hear conversation and TV from the adjacent rooms. 2 random youths just hanging around at receptions at night for some reason. Hotel key should you loose it whilst out had the hotel details on it along with your room number, given that reception is not staffed seems like a stupid idea.

The room was up in the attic, the extractor in the shower did not work, 2 of the 4 days we stayed the hot water in the shower alternated between hot & cold, the only place to hang additional clothes was on a hook on the back of the door. We had to ask for the coffee & sugar to be replenished , as also the need for additional toilet paper. When booking it stated breakfast was included, on arrival we find it had to be pre-booked & was served in the room also it was limited. All in all very disappointed, not really what was promoted

The room was very small but okay since we've had the budget room. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was included but served in bed which was slightly inconvenient, also it was a rather small breakfast. The hotel was quiet and pretty from the inside.

Room was big and clean. Lots of noise from creaky floor above. Bed not the best, pillow’s terrible. Bathroom clean, but shower has no power, just a tickle of water! Didn’t have breakfast but did eat in the restaurant attached for an evening meal which was superb. Would go back to the restaurant again but not to the hotel as cherish my sleep too much!

The hotel has been redone nicely and the rooms are well-equipped. The staff members were helpful. A good "Turkish-Morrocan" restaurant is part of the complex. The room we had was quite small--no place to sit except on the bed or at the desk-- which is okay for a short stay. The "complimentary breakfasts" are served in the rooms, so basically, you're eating in bed.

Everything was fine until checkout. On saturday we got an agreement with receptionist for a free late checkout. She had failed to tell house keeping & leave any notes. House keeper decided to argue with us that her colleague is new and we needed to pay. We told her were not paying as agreement was made and she should speak to the receptionist. She continued to argue and was rude and agressive. We told her we are not interested in arguing as non of this was our fault. Because of this i wouldnt be in any rush back. Also training is very much required to her re how to talk guests & better communication.

We stayed as we went to watch a show at new theatre. This was an easy walk to get there and back. Lovely big room and staff very helpful. Phoned me the day before because i have slight accessible needs and asked me if i would be ok with a 1st floor room and that there is no lift. As i was using my crutch it was fine and the stairs are a few then landing so pleanty of time to rets between. All in all a pleasent stay.

I have mixed opinions on this place. Our room was a tiny shoebox with some pretty odd decor. It required traveling up and down multiple staircases to get to, which was annoying. The building itself is lovely. Staff were very pleasant. We opted to have breakfast and it was delicious and well priced.

Awful hotel
Booked in for two nights, room was in the attic, smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. A smell of fags lingers in the air although, assured this is a no smoking room. The room is furnished with very tired furniture, the bed is so uncomfortable I slept on the floor. Absolutely freezing in the night. The worst part of the stay was the noise, every time someone walked past my door the floor and room shakes. Incredibly creaky floor. The noise of very loud voices and people walking past the door went on until 2.30am. I had around 3 hours sleep and felt awful in the morning. The stay was so bad I booked into another hotel at extra cost, the hotel refused to refund me the night I was no longer staying. Asked to change room but no others rooms were offered. No lift so if you have luggage you’ll have to carry it up a lot of steps. Hotel staff watched as I struggled with my luggage. Fought to get a refund for the night I did not stay but the hotel refused.

The hotel is very close to the downtown area including the wonderful cathedral. The staff are excellent. Breakfast in the room is very convenient. There is a Turkish restaurant associated with the hotel, right next door and the menu looks great. I also recommend a Turkish fast food place almost opposite the New Theater and an Indian restaurant- Momoz - excellent. Hair place excellent- Layla's. Downside of the Pearl is the stairs - there were 36 to the attic room I was in. Rooms 210 and above have this problem - a problem if you have trouble with stairs. The rooms 210 and 2011 are very small - attic style. The mattresses are old box springs and you can feel the springs. I had chosen a discounted room online and wish I'd called the hotel first for a description. If you are young and fit and on a budget this place would work for you.

Disappointing
We had two rooms. One was nice, the other was no where near as nice with the biggest issue being the smell of damp. For the nightly rate I did not feel this was worth the money or the four star rating. The breakfast was also very basic.

We were in room 210 in the eves - every time I got out of bed I hit my head on the sloping ceiling & I'm only 5'6" my partner at 6@3" would have knocked himself out if he's been on that side of the bed! The sink in the bathroom had no plug - which we reported but nothing was done - and as we found out both the sink and the shower drains were either blocked or incredibly slow to drain. When in the shower another room must have turned on water so from becoming a comfortable temperature it turned scalding hot ... Restaurant next door brilliant

Polite staff, comfy bed, not accessible.
The Hotel needs some maintenance and perhaps a refresh. But more importantly, their definition of 'accessible' is a bit of a stretch. It technically had an accessible entrance, but there was quite a large curb to overcome to reach the very steep ramp to the back door. In addition, the room I was given didn't have any facilities to make it more accessible. The bed was comfortable however, and the staff were very polite.
