They still use real keys for your door! Straight out of the 1990's. Slide door lock inside with deadbolt. It's old, and they have done the best they could to update with paint and decent appliances. Great murals on outside. Bed mattress was old and saggy. Blankets old and thin. Room was clean, though the toilet smells. Tiny shower only. Let's leave it at you get what you paid for. I needed a simple, cheap place to stay the night. That's exactly what I got.

Arrived at the hotel and we had rented house at the top of the RV park. We have been here several times but usually rent the entire house but this time we just rented side B. When we got there the house was freezing someone had opened windows and no heater was on. Had to go to office and ask for toilet paper because they had left one roll in the house for a 3 day stay. Woke up in the morning to cook breakfast in the full kitchen and the pans were not usable, small and extremely scratched was worried about getting metal shavings in food. I ended up driving to Goodwill and bought a frying pan. The couch is a hideabed but it’s more like a torture chamber can’t sit on it for long or your back will go out. They have a wood stove with a shed full of wood but we were told we couldn’t use it by the manager but the small heaters were barely able to heat up the house so we used the wood and the wood stove. It’s a place set up to sleep 8 but if you want to sit somewhere bring some chairs only sitting for 4 people and one of them is the torture chamber couch. The beds are not horrible and they have a full kitchen but it’s not fully stocked have to bring a can opener if you might need one. Like I said earlier I have stayed here several times but this time just too many things to ignore. If they need me to I can bring over a couch for people to sit on.

First of all we would like to apologize for any inconvenience. The motel is under new management and past guest have to follow new property rules and are not liking the changes unfortunately. Second- pans are in like new condition- replaced 2 months ago, sleeps 6 not 8 and has seating.1 roll of TP was an accident by housekeeping and corrected. We do have wood stoves and we do provide wood if available. (shed and wood that is spoken of belongs to a resident here not the motel...)

This property does not look the greatest at all. My kids asked me what kind of hotel I took them too. Unfortunately it was not what we had expected or as it was presented.

I will say the outside of the building is beautiful, with that being said, the inside is a different story. The maid cleaned it to the best of her ability. However the owners should be ashamed of them selves. What they charge people they could afford to fix all the things that were broken or falling apart. The floor linoleum is cracked and a trip hazard, the bathroom is a hot mess, my husband had to take the roll of toilet paper off the wall to squeeze his way in to sit down (and he’s not that big of a guy) also the first day the shower nozzle (which was chest height) sprayed water all over the place from the fitting and the second day when my husband took a shower the whole head came off in his hand. The shower stall it’s self had many holes, cracks, missing pieces and when you stepped into it, it felt like you were going to fall thru it, the water backed up into the stall if you were in it longer than 3 minutes. The wall plug ins are right above your headboard so your cords sit in your lap, you can also feel every spring in the mattress as well. When I went to the front counter and spoke to the lady there about the shower head coming off she said that the manager was gone and she didn’t have another room, so she couldn’t do anything. Also if you decide to stay there you should be pot friendly as that was all we could smell while we were at the room. The neighbor sneezed and I said bless you and she said thank you… thru the wall.

The floorboards were so filthy there was dirt piled in the corner of them. It had a bad smell to it. Would not stay here again for the condition and price.

I didn't have high expectations when I booked our stay. The motel is quite worn and run down, but very clean. The lady at the front desk was very helpful, too! There are little oddities in the room.... but that makes for an interesting stay. It is a low budget motel. Interesting and adequate for a brief stay. No frills!

Interesting location. The rv park which is connected to the hotel is more like a trailer park for permanent residents and looked pretty rundown which I think is where some of the bad reviews come from. Motel itself is very nice and updated and clean inside. Lady in office was very helpful and friendly. Fun trail to the beach across the street. Kids loved finding small crabs & jellyfish. We had very 4 flat pillows in our room for 4 people and they said no extra when I asked the front desk. Everything else was great.

Worst motel.
When we walked in it had a musty smell. We were told something wrong with pool they would let us know if it was able to be used,they never let us know we happen to see someone in it.we asked for towels we got a big run around.Finally got towels next day. The lady in the evening is very rude should not be working customer service.when we complained about her they knew right off who it was they said she gets complaints all the time.we had no bathtub stopper.The gal and guy in the morning during week were awesome Arianna and delphin.i will never stay here plus I will spread the word.Terrible. .

I am very sorry to hear about the troubles you experienced. I am a bit confused about the pool as we do not have a pool, our motel rooms have showers no tubs, and we have 2 women that run the office 7 days a week from 9:30am-9pm. So maybe another motel?

Stayed for 1 night only and can't imagine anyone staying longer. Very outdated and tiny. When we entered the office, their age 10ish child opened a door and screamed at us. This is obviously a super casual business, they're not striving for higher reviews. The linens were clean. The shower was stained. Vinyl flooring over a buckled/uneven floor. Strong marijuana odor at check in area. It felt like a shelter. This was an experience of a stay, we didn't turn around and run, but we'd never stay here again.

Traveled with two college-aged daughters. We had Room B at the back of the property. Pluses were: kitchenette was very useful, quiet and clean room, very dark for good sleep and room temp was solid. Things that could be improved: couch was broken, funky set-up for ceiling fan and center light...iykyk. My girls slept on two separate beds that were located in the living room. A little strange but alright. This place is solid. Nothing fancy but will serve you well if you are simply looking for a "base". Try Shark Bites in downtown Coos Bay and head over to Millers at the Cove for excellent clam chowder and the best (original) rajun cajun crab soup. You will not be sorry!

Not safe area at all!
The hotel was tidy and the front desk lady was nice. If you have a family or are alone this place is unsafe!!!!!!!! The trailers behind are scary and we were nervous all night. Not to mention the neighborhood was really unsafe too. DO NOT COME HERE WITH FAMILY!

Our place is very safe! We have a great camera system, all residents in park are very friendly. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay and get to see what a wonderful place this is.

Our stay was fine. Office staff friendly and helpful. This place could use an update, specifically the mattresses which are pretty saggy and the bathroom which is tiny and difficult to move around in. I would rate it a C , considering the relatively low price.

The motel is very cute with all of the buildings painted with ocean related murals. The rooms are nice with a small kitchenette. The beds were just ok, comfortable enough to sleep. However, the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors every move. There is no ocean/bay view. You can hear the traffic since you are only about 50 feet away from the 2 lane coastal highway. Traffic was much lighter after 10 pm. I didn't hear any cars until 5 or 6 am. That was on a Friday morning. Overall it was a good place to stay, and I would visit again. We had 2 queen beds, and paid $125 for 1 night.

Amazing, comfortable, close to town and beach!
This place is amazing! We had a great two-night stay. It's cozy, beautifully remodeled, kitchenette is great, beds comfortable; we took an extra fan and wished we had an 8' extension cord for it, but other than that, no complaints!

Beautiful views of the bay. Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine/dryer. Sun shines in so the flat was really hot on arrival so needed to keep doors open. We closed the blinds the next day which really helped. Very tricky getting the television to work. Lovely stay.

I had a comfortable lodging. Well-equipped kitchen except that there were no pans that could go in the oven. CAUTION: At check-in I had to sign an agreement that there would be no refunds for any reason. If I had gotten Covid and had to leave partway through the week, I would have been out a lot of money.

They have renovated the rooms of the little strip motel. They did a good job although the mini kitchen cabinets were clearly just repainted. The outside of all the buildings have been painted with interesting murals representing this coastal area. Pretty cool.

Good spot
Good affordable place ! We needed to stay here for two nights while we conducted some research off the coast. It was cute and the condition was good! Some cons were that the sheets didn’t fit the bed so they kept sliding off in the night. Also the parking lot was very tiny. I had my smaller car so it was fine for the size but if I had my truck it definitely wouldn’t have fit behind all of the other trucks and bushes. They should remove the hedge to make more space for the cars. Our tv remote didn’t work so the channel was stuck on Tour de France. I loved that there was a little kitchen. I would stay here again for more field research.

Room was recently updated but not building code compliance. Space between the wall and toilet is narrow and no room to use toilet. Kitchen is small next to refrigerator so can’t move around. The stove doesn’t have hood so smoke alarm went off whilst cooking. Bed sheets are not that clean.

Spacious room, but everything was outdated&DIRTY.
Avoid!!! Room was dirty and the carpet was super sticky!!(looks like they mopped the kichen floor since it was wet upon arrival, but not sure if they actually cleaned the rooms before our arrival since there were still lots of sand on the floor!!) Everything was so old and outdated.... from the floor to ceiling, couch, curtains, dining table and chairs, stoves, fridge, chipped plates and cups, wall, and "popcorn" ceiling.(I thought these ceiling were long gone!) It was nice to have a large jet spa in the room, but it was dirty. The rods that held shower curtains were so loose that it actually fell on my son when he opened the shower curtain after taking shower. They only provided us 2 bath towels / 2 hand towels for a family of 5, so we asked them to give us 3 extra and they were not happy about it. Pretty stingy. There were a lots of long-term residents there(trailers) that look pretty shady. Fortunately they were not close to our motel room, so we didn't have to see their belongings/gabages scattering around. Overall, it was pretty disappointed and it was not what we expected for $170/night. Next time, we will stay in beautiful city of Bandon instead of dingy Coos Bay even if it means it will cost us $400/night.
