Regarding your comment about the layout of our guest and bath rooms, please consider that due to the individual shape of our traditional building, some rooms vary in size and layout. Special requests can be considered upon reservation. Furthermore, we are surprised that the cleanliness did not meet your expectations. All rooms are being cleaned and checked daily. If you had informed us about your dissatisfaction right away, we would have been pleased to offer you an alternative room. Furthermore, we are suprised to hear that our price/ performance ratio did not meet your expectations. Our prices may vary during high demand periods, e.g. during events or trade fairs - but even at Carnival we are still a little bit cheaper than our competitiors. Regarding the elevator you are right, there has been a technical problem with our elevator which has been fixed in the meantime. We apologize for this. We regret that you did not leave our hotel happy. Should you ever be back to Cologne, we would be more than happy if you give us a second chance. We commissioned a professional pest control company to carry out a full inspection, however, we could not find any insects in the room or in the hotel main areas. While we did find a slightly loose screw in the bed, our team were not informed of the bed collapsing during your stay. After checking our records we can confirm that your rooms was checked and noting untoward was reported, also we have no information regarding any comment being made on your behalf during your stay. Nonetheless, after your departure our housekeeper reported an issue with an unstable bed and assuming this had happened during the last guest's stay, it was immediately exchanged.
