The personal are nice. Mauricio was very nice, available and helpful. The restaurants were poor. 3 open out of 5. Food ok, not more. Very poor wine list. And everything way overpriced.

Établissement très bien intégré dans la nature, très belle vue des chambres sur la mer, salle de bain ouverte sur une terrasse et sur la mer, très bien pensée !! Mais comme souvent au Costa Rica , les prix de l’hôtellerie de qualité s’emballent un peu !!

Très bel hôtel récent si vous cherchez la paix
Service extraordinaire, on se sent unique. Plages tranquilles où l'on peut faire kayak, paddle board, plongée en apnée , poissons tout près de la plage, possibilité de louer sea-doo sur la plage même. 2 raies sont passées à côté de nous. Site HYPER tranquille idéal pour se reposer loin de la civilisation. Très bons restos. Repos assuré. Vacance inoubliable !!

Bel hôtel, tranquille. Personnel très avenant.
L'endroit est isolé au milieu de la nature, tranquille et agréable. Le personnel est vraiment courtois et prêt à tous pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Les chambres sont propres et très confortables. La nourriture est excellente mais un peu chère. Comme le complexe est à flan de montagne, il y a un peu d'escaliers mais il y a des voiturettes de golf pour les plus paresseux! Les piscines sont bien entretenues et les services autour sont excellents.

Loved the food, staff, pools and beaches. Only critique is this, the game room isn't up to your resorts standards. Get a decent pool table, a real ping pong table. A card table, a dart board and maybe some TV screens.

We liked the fact the service at the pool was very efficient. We had Kevin a few days and we would order and he brought it quickly. He was terrific. Also loved Meso restaurant. Food and facility was fantastic.

Staff was outstanding, food was excellent, weather was perfect, loved the monkeys and iguanas, kayaks, jet skis, pools, consistently available seating, nearby empty beach, and electric bikes. Would have liked more activities (water skiing or tubing, ping pong, billiards outdoors, etc.). Having additional restaurant options would be good.

This is a beautiful property in a spectacular location. It is great for hikers and walkers, the property is spread out and hilly, and it was really hot. So, be ready for some Sherpa hikes! The staff is very accommodating to shuttle you around on golf carts but then you aren’t enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

This is a beautiful property! I would not recommend it for anyone with issues walking however. They do offer golf cart rides which is very nice, but it’s still a lot of up and down. This did not bother us but I could see how others may have issues. The way it’s built into the side of a mountain is quite stunning but keep in mind the hills and stairs. The rooms are decent size and have very nice balconies. Linens and toiletries were very nice as well. The staff was extremely friendly, but not always attentive; maybe it’s cultural? We used the new beach club area which isn’t fully operable yet but we really enjoyed that area and the food was great. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent but the other restaurants for lunch and dinner weren’t anything special. We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to the beautiful Papagayo Peninsula and that cannot afford the Four Seasons.

Wonderful facility and staff. Well managed by Patrick Krauth and Sergio Bahamon. Only downside is long walk with many steps to get to the beach near hotel. Not recommended for people with knee or back issues or handicapped.

This was the best stay I've had thus far. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The resort is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The staff and workers are so welcoming and pleasant. Definetly would recommend if you are able to splurge!

This is a beautiful property. The best thing about the property is the staff. EVERY staff member was friendly and professional. Andres in Chao Pescao was our favorite. Breakfast was the best meal. LOVED the buffet. Dinners were good, not excellent. Billing was needlessly confusing and we caught a couple of mistakes. Should be in all dollars or all Colones.

Short, business trip in Papagayo. The rooms are neat, nice balcony views. The lightning switch on the bedrooms is an issue. They all dim instead if going on or off. Can’t turn off the bathroom light. It dims but turns on the minute you move. Can be bothersome for couple in the early morning. Beach is okay. Not their main feature. Proximity to the marina was the main attraction for me. Breakfast was great, need to make a decision with the monkeys. Can’t have them as a tourist magnet and not deal with the scares they give folks while having breakfast. Dinning restaurant had a great ambience and live music. Food was good. Some may have issues on pricing vs value but that depends on what you prioritize.

Our stay here was absolutely the best time of our entire lives. From the amazingly friendly staff to the most beautiful views we have ever seen, this place is truly a masterpiece. The food was incredible (especially the chocolate croissants at breakfast!) and there's a never ending list of resort activities. We did a mixology class, ceviche class and a barista class! We took home so much knowledge about Costa Rican history as well. There is so much wildlife on the property; our favorite being the monkeys!! We saw them everyday we were there and watched them on our balconies while drinking our morning coffee. The resort has a What's App you can text to obtain transportation from your room to anywhere on the resort as it's quite hilly. They also have a shuttle to take you anywhere else you would like to go on peninsula Papagayo. We took one to the Four Seasons golf club and then messaged them to come pick us up. They were there in 3 minutes. We booked an excursion to Guachipelin through the resort. They gave us private transportation there, which was about an hour away from the resort. Once we got there we did horseback riding, white water rafting, zip lining and hot springs/volcanic mud. They have us a delicious lunch as well. It was such an exciting day!! Overall, if you are thinking of booking at the Andaz at Peninsula Papagayo, DO IT. You will not regret it.

No es lo que esperaba
El hotel estaba en construcción, uno de sus restaurantes estaba cerrado por remodelación. Había mucho ruido desde las 7am hasta las 5pm. Al momento de hacer la reservación no hubo ninguna nota o aviso de estas obras dentro del hotel. Las habitaciones limpias, pero ya necesitan cambiar muebles y remodelar las habitaciones. El staff del hotel hizo todo lo posible para ayudarnos, sin embargo decidí hacer el check out antes de lo previsto El precio del hotel fue muy alto y no la pasamos nada bien

I liked the view. I did not care for the vastness of it. Felt more like condos than a resort. Felt like I was on a cruise ship. The only restaurant open for breakfast and lunch is simply awful. Cafeteria food but worse. Will not return or recommend.

Resort is very isolated, but plenty of activities on the penninsula. Unfortunately, noisy construction above beach house made that environment less relaxing. A broader tour of all penninsula facilities would've been informative. The people of Costa Rica and service staff of Andaz were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
