Excellent location , right by dowton chicago , just 4 blocks away from Michigan avenue. The breakfast was a very good deal. The room was confortable and very calm. The on site free parking is a real asset.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Stationnement gratuit. Lit confortable. Le seul petit point négatif... la température est contrôlée par l’accueil et semble être « central » avec toutes les chambre d’une même section... il faisait très chaud la dernière nuit de notre séjour.

Very loud because of traffic in the area. Every time I’ve stayed here I put up the do not disturb and housekeeping still comes knocking and yelling housekeeping every morning, I think in an effort to rush people out before the actual check out time. They tried to keep my deposit because I had gotten a little bit of makeup on the pillows.

Dear Guest,There is a fee for any stained linens and pillows. If housekeeping cannot remove the stain then it becomes unusable which result's in lost linens. We prefer our guests return them clean as they were at check in. We apologize for the easily heard traffic, we are located on two busy streets that are connected to the highway. Lovely, quick little stay. Very clean, quaint, nice to have fridge and microwave in room. TV picture a bit dated and you can hear the doors closing out side of the room. But minor things. Overall a great value for downtown Chicago if all you need are the basics.

Miss the free parking. Now $29/night. Can stay at many nicer hotels and pay daily parking. Ohio House lost it’s nitch in the city. So Sad:(

We are sorry to hear about your thoughts on our new fee. We know it's a change for our regular loyal customers, but we tried holding off on parking for a great amount of time. Considering our location and competitors around the area we tried our best to meet in the middle of our company's revenue alleys and our customers satisfaction. Compared to other parking rates at hotel's, with our in and out policy 29 before tax could be seen reasonable. We hope overtime we can agree in this perspective but regardless we appreciate you choosing us for your stay!

It’s the best thing if you just want a simple place to crash at the end of the day. It’s in the middle of downtown, surrounded by lovely cafes and is very easy on the pocket with its pricing. The rooms were clean and spacey enough to not be problematic.

There is a lot of great options for food close by and you can park your car to walk around the city if you're a guest there. Rooms were spacious. You do hear city noise quite often with where it is located.

There was a large party in a nearby room that did a bunch of yelling slammed the door every 10 minutes until 4:45 am. Weed smoke and cigarette smoke kept wafting over into my room. I considered sleeping in my car. Oddly, I had this exact same experience last time I stayed there, leading me to ask the very nice staffer if people live there. He did say he would have intervened had he known about the ruckus.

They changed their parking fee policy without informing me. While I made the booking through Expedia, it was under free parking category. But later they changed it and charged me $29 tax when I tried to check in.

We are sorry to hear about that sir, starting the 1st of this year we started charging 29 + tax daily for parking. We also have it listed on our own site including third parties. It's usually listed as " Resort Fee". We hope you still we're able to get some good nights rest. Thank you for staying with us.

I googled for a accomdations that accepts pets and ohio house motel was one of the motels that was given in the search through hotels.com........i made a reservation online for 2 rooms........when i get to the motel to check in and they start explaining the terms and conditions saying i cant have pets i was blown away......i explained to the clerk i specifically searched for accommodations that accept pets and this motel was given after the search. He states well we dont accept pets so of course I had to cancel my reservation. He studied I need the contact hotels.com to possibly get a refund. When I contact the hotels.com around 8:00 p.m. I talked to an online chat representative. They said they were put in a refund request and it would take up to 48 hours for that request to be looked at. I explained to the online rep but I hear no other place to go because my house just caught fire that same day and I need a hotel room for the night otherwise I will have to sleep in my house I just called on fire and was not secure. And I had nowhere to go with my family and two dogs and tried to accommodate me about getting me another hotel room which I would have had to pay for out of pocket instead of just moving money from the reservation I could not use to another hotel that accepted pets so therefore I was not able to get a reservation anywhere cuz I spent my last on a hotel room for the night. So I had to sleep in my cold house that wasn't secure with broken windows and no heat.

We are very sorry and shocked to hear that we came up on a pet friendly search. As far as the refund, since you booked through a third party and it was a prepaid. It's not really in our control. Great place to stay while in Chicago
Great place to stay. Very good location with most of the tourist places within a walkable distance. Great brunch places around. Even though is in the heart of the city, they make it feel safe. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The only thing I did not like was that they charged for parking. They could have said that on the reservation.

Commute to city every week of the year for 2 nights for work. Ohio House was going to be my preferred hotel as they offered free parking. Unbeknownst to me, effective Jan 1 they will now charge for parking. Unfortunately I will no longer stay there. I was able to agree with another hotel for free parking given how often I will be staying

Staff was super nice, walked in the building room and smelled super clean, everything was nice. Only “negative” thing I want to mention is the temperature of the rooms during the night. On my first night I was freezing while I slept and the next night I woke up super hot. Other than that my family and I enjoyed this motel so much we’re thinking about booking with Ohio House again!

This Place is "Welcome to Chicago"
This is an excellent place to stay. The management is very polite and accommodating . Lavatory is clean as a whistle, bed very comfortable, and nice well laundered white towels. "Two star" simply means a comfortable place to sleep without nonsensical high cost while having an exciting and dynamic Chicago trip. For example it's an easy cab ride to remarkable museums such as The Museum of Science and Industry plus the Field Museum. Incredibly, the place is located within convenient walking distance (about two short city blocks) from an assortment of really good restaurants from high buck to fast food. It's located very close to downtown Chicago but since there are skyscrapers everywhere it's hard to tell. For a visit to Chicago by car this venue offers a parking spot for each room. Not surprisingly cabs are easy to get upon arrival by air that readily find the motel's address. This reviewer is as happy as a clam and would stary there again in an instant.

The lady who worked the front desk for a majority of our stay was amazing! She made our family feel welcome and taken care of. Parking was a bonus and a large reason for our choosing the motel. A note about arriving from a late evening. Be prepared to use their valet option since spits are limited. That being said, it is still a great option. Location! It is so easy to get around the city from this location. The rooms are clean but bare bones. Highly recommended.
