The safety and security of all persons on property remains our highest priority. Our hotel has numerous preventative measures in place as it relates to the identification and reporting of any pests, which includes training of our housekeeping and engineering colleagues during routine service, third-party licensed pest control professional company that routinely inspects guestrooms, and as well an annual guestroom inspection by a third-party licensed pest control professional company, to identify any anomalies. I do apologize for any misunderstanding, however our inspection of your guestroom of occupancy confirmed no bed bug activity.As a measure of reassurance, there have been no concerns of note otherwise within the room of occupancy indicated, either prior to or since your stay with us. I am very sorry to know our hotel is no longer your choice of residence in the City. We are constantly reviewing protocol with our Leaders to ensure full communication appropriately in such circumstances and appreciate your feedback regarding your experience.

Upon Check-In, an authorization for the full amount of your stay with taxes, plus 50 per day (to cover incidentals) will be authorized to your card of choice. (Credit or debit card) Please keep in mind that credit cards that are authorized will place a hold for that amount from your available credit line, when a hold is placed on a debit card, it reduces your actual bank account balance.The authorization amount will be deducted from your account balance upon Check-Out. The total balance will then be charged to your card of choice and any un-used remaining incidental authorization will be released.Depending on your banking institution, this release may take 5 to 7 business days per your financial institution. International travelers may experience holds up to 31 days.This is a standard practice at all hotels/resorts, the hotel is not responsible for overdraft fees associated with your card of choice.

Our Pool can be accessed via elevator 1 directly to the pool floor, as well as gaining access from elevators 2 & 3 to the 4th floor and crossing over. Our elevators as most downtown properties in Chicago, hold 4-5 people in each elevator. It is unfortunate that you were left with the unfavorable impression of the hotel as your review indicated.
