Had a lovely stay in this hotel. A great price, breakfast included was lovely. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. All areas are very clean. We loved the pool for early morning swim. Definitely recommend. Thank you for a great stay. 4 adults in our party.

I’d thoroughly recommend the hotel, it is situated close to the city centre and the train station. Friendly staff, good size rooms, comfortable and convenient for a visit to Chester.

The food was excellent we had the breakfast, service was very good the lady on reception was very knowledgeable and very helpful friendly, the hotel seemed a little tired and requires a refurb as did the room we stayed in but overall would recommend had a fab time

Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool and spa. Noise from the road a nuisance and too hot to have the window closed overnight. Prefer to make my own toast, but not a big deal really

Would have left 5 stars,but the extractor fan in bathroom was continuously on. Did go to reception but nobody came to fix it. Other than that we had a fantastic time and would definitely return,as long as that fan was fixed

Room size was good, however far too dark with limited lighting. Bathroom would benefit from hooks or rails, as no where to hang towels. Also a magnifying mirror/shaving mirror would be helpful. Pillow qyality very poor, but bed comfortable.

Hotel was good ate in restaurant first night but it was same menu the next night so ate somewhere else. The older guy in restaurant for breakfast was rude and did not put our order through for extra coffees. Breakfast basic. It could have had a coffee machine where you could get different coffees like in other hotels.

The room we were allocated was extremely noisy. Right next to a busy road. We coukd have thrown a stone out of the window and hit a car, it was so close. Plus the kitchen staff congregate outside underneath outside of the window. I understand that the hotel is in a city centre but warn your guests about the noise and the windows should definitely be triple glazed which it wasn't. The bathroom was very dated. The staff were nice and the breakfast was great though.

We booked a Business Double room, and it was quite small, with dated furnishings. The bathroom was very cold with a small bath and no towel rail. The bedroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The car park was full when we arrived, but a space became available later. The location was a short walk from the city centre. Not picturesque but adequate. Breakfast was a fairly basic buffet, with a few options. I felt it was overpriced for the quality of room, but maybe that's what to expect in Chester.

We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very helpful with us parking up etc. The business rooms were clean and comfortable but could do with a little update. We used the pool and sauna which was a huge plus for this hotel. The bar area was lovely and relaxing. The only downfall was that the restaurents had stopped serving meals and it was only 8 o Clock, so we had to go out into town to eat. But overall our stay was fabulous and definitely would return.

Great place to stay. Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great. Parking was convenient. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean. All the communal areas were nicely decorated and clean. Only downsides :The window didn't shut properly so you could hear voices from outside on the canal. Also hear voices from next room. Also we were unlucky and had 2 very bright lights outside our room which shone though the edges of the curtains. On the whole it was great value for money and would stay again.

Our stay was for a leisurely break and the Mill fulfilled this. The spa on site is pleasant and the facilities all working. Breakfast is ok, a bit limited for a non meat eater, but staff were very accommodating. We chose not to eat a main meal at the hotel and found a good restaurant nearby Pacinos

The bar lounge and dining areas were clean and comfortable with very pleasant friendly staff serving .The bedrooms were spacious clean and comfortable .However the bathroom needed upgrading .The taps produced hot scalding water on one side of the tap cold on the other .The taps needed upgrading needed mixer taps Also the shower head was flimsy ,it was difficult to control and obtain the right temperature we could have been scalded .

We chose the Mill Hotel on the basis of the picture on the net beside the canal, as we'd not stayed in Chester before. Immediately we found the staff to be friendly and efficient. Our room though small was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful - yummy muesli! Evening meal choices were good and delicious. The whole place felt well run. The dedicated car park was welcome, once we had found our way there. On the negative side it's a shame that someone has built a dirty great flyover right outside the building (just joking - but the flyover architecture is brutal in the extreme and treats the canal as an inconvenient afterthought instead of a real asset to the City. And walking into town by the canal at night is so spooky as there are no street lights - surely the hotel could arrange this?! We'd happily stay there again.

Our room was supposed to be a business room with king size bed well is was a very dated and tied looking room with a double bed !you could write your name in the dust on the head board and on the desk. The carpet was poorly fitted and wrinkled. The decor was very dated and the desk and bedside tables were badly marked. The bathroom sink was cracked there wasn’t a proper shower just a piece of pipe coming off the bath taps and no rubber mat in the bath so was very slippery when in the shower/bath and trying to get out.
