Better than expected

I was really nervous about this place after reading the reviews. Luckily for me the experience was good. The first room I was in did have some issues but I was quickly moved to another room. That room was much better. The manager on duty the night that I checked in was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was simple but good. Overall this was a good experience.

Close enough to venue.

Went to a concert at NC Coliseum. Close enough to get good parking. Parking at hotel was ok. Could have been a bigger lot. There was one dead water bug in room. Beds comfortable, breakfast good. Would stay again. Room needed a hair dryer.

Situation : Good location for what we were doing. That's why we chose it.
We found two cockroaches in our room and that has coloured our review of the place.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!

There is a sign at the front lobby desk when you check in that states the AC doesn't work if the outside temperature is less than 60 degrees and that the AC/Heat do not work at the same time as the fan....What?! We couldn't sleep that night because the room was hot and the AC wouldn't work. We were messing with the buttons on the unit in the middle of the night, in the dark, to try to cool the room off and accidentally hit the heat button, which made the whole room smell scorched, AND it set the fire alarms off for the whole hotel! We ended up opening a window for the night, and had the joy of hearing every siren, police chase, and train that went by. Terrible night! Also, the room next to us was smoking cigarettes all night, which we could smell through the door coming from the hall. When reporting unhappiness to the front desk twice, we were told by the desk person that he couldn't do anything because he was just the accountant. What?! No service recovery there! Hotel manager was also contacted and he just made excuses for the horrible hotel. He addressed the AC/Heat unit complaint by saying they have never had that complaint before, umm...then why is there a sign in the lobby?! No apologies or customer service there either! We should have just stayed home and gotten up early to make the trip. We would have gotten more sleep. Oh, and as of this moment, they have double charged us for the room, which is still in the process of being resolved. Never stay there!

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to complete review. We apologize that your experience was anything less than satisfying. This is not true about charge and A/C. When any guest use debit card hotel authorize card for full stay. We charge for one night stay which is we verified with the guest. The reservation was for two nights so at check-in the card authorize for two nights. When any guest check-out early the authorization released in 3-5 business days. The outside temperature was under 40 degree on Friday night so A/C can't come on. We check the A/C which is working fine. We rent the same room Saturday without any problem. Again thank you for your review.

Overall my stay was pleasant except when I arrived my room did not a TV remote and the coffee maker.

Nice stay.

The beds were not as comfortable as at other Country Inns and Suites where we have stayed this was disappointing because that's why we chose to stay here. Otherwise everything was great. The front desk staff was very accommodating, changing us to a handicapped room since we had my 90 yr old mother in law with us.
