We arrived at the bed and breakfast at 7:00 pm after a very long day of travel and were told she had cancelled our room so at the very last minute we had to scramble and find something else ended up having to add anothe Mr 2 hours on to our already long day of travel. When will I be reimbursed for the room we never got ?

NYE Getaway
Lisa was the perfect host and made us feel right at home. The home was gorgeous and clean. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again!

This is the most wonderful place to stay you will ever find! I cannot begin to describe the beauty and charm of the Brass Pineapple and the owner. You will be met with the most gracious and sweet hospitality you will ever find. I wish I could put into words how much we loved celebrating our 50th anniversary at the inn. The food was outstanding. The amenities and bed were like exactly what a very special 5 Star establishment should be for its guests. I could sleep in that bed for days! A better shower than I have in my home! We love this place and will be visiting often. Dear reader, you really should consider staying at the Brass Pineapple Inn. You will not be disappointed and you will make a lifelong friend with the owner! Thank you so very much!

It's much better than staying at a chain hotel less than 2 miles from a major concert venue. The place looks like a picture book, and you'll want to photograph everything. It is so cute.

Wonderful old property just next to the State Capitol. Beautifully restored and decorated. Amazing host who could not do enough for her guests - great cakes, tea and a wonderful (but very local!) breakfast. Overall a fantastic stay.

If you are going to Mountain Stage this is a great choice as it is literally one block away from the theater. The hostess is quite engaging and the inn is decorated as a Victorian.

Did a lot of research for Charleston lodging and so glad we selected this B&B. Great location, lovely street, safe parking, beautifully maintained home, and most accommodating host who goes above and beyond to insure a wonderful experience. Provides whatever you need, offers helpful local information and suggestions, and bakes delicious afternoon treats and gourmet breakfasts. Highly recommend for Charleston visits!

Best customer service ever at a great location
Best customer service I have experienced in many years. So accommodating with some diet restrictions my wife had. Wonderful place in a central location. Will definitely stay if ever back in the area.

Very nice stay. Warm greeting. We were a little late arriving so did not want to go back out for dinner. We were offered a lovely slice of homemade cake and a cup of tea which was perfect. The morning we were greeted with coffee and a wonderful breakfast casserole. Delightful. This was a lovely stop for us. Thank you

To get an attached bathroom we took the English Gentleman’s room, a cozy Cherry paneled room complete with dead pheasant wreath above the fireplace. The only frustration was the bed. It sagged a little in the middle and was tight against the wall. Everything else was fine. Clean. Quiet.

The inn is old and does need some refurbishment. There was a bathroom in the room we were in that was unusable which meant we needed to use a shared bathroom. Thankfully there was noone else on our floor. The heating was way too hot. On a positive note the breakfast was wonderful, the dining room very gracious and the service excellent. With some investment the inn woukd be wonderful.

Hello Susan, Thank you for your review and staying. I know the inn needs some refurbishment. We used all of our savings to get through Covid and we had a room problem and it was 27,000 to fix it and my roof company fixed it and let me to pay them every month for two years. I am fixing the plaster my self because I can't fine anyone to fixed the plaster. The bathroom in your room is getting new sink, lights and I got that plaster fixed but couldn't get my plumber maintenance man to get here to put the sink and lights in the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't shared and I don't sell the other room on the 3rd floor because of the bathroom maintenance in your room. You should have told me that your room was too warm and I would have turn off the heater. Thank you for the positive note for breakfast in the dining room. Thank you for staying.

Lisa was a wonderful. She offered dinner suggestions and offered to make reservations. The accommodations were some of the best I have experienced, as someone who enjoys B & B’s. I can certainly say that we truly enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were phenomenal!

We really enjoyed the hospitality at Brass Pineapple! Our room was clean and charmingly decorated. The property is an easy walk to the statehouse and quick drive downtown. You could probably walk downtown if the weather was nice. We were staying near Christmas and the home was decorated so nicely! Plus homemade cookies! Excellent breakfast, great tips on things to do in the area. Would stay again, thank you!

Lisa was the warmest most helpful innkeeper. She went out of her way to find restaurants that are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Her breakfast were fantastic and tastefully presented. Her house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and my husband and I enjoyed just sitting having tea and cookies in the afternoon looking at all the decorations. We both had a love for flying small airplanes and we did have so much fun hangar flying. We will meet again.

Lisa is very attentive to her guests. She contacted us to provide directions on our day of arrival and stayed up late to accommodate another guest who was arriving very late. Then, despite her late night, she was ready the next morning with a delicious breakfast.

A Delightful Stay!
The Inn is in a magnificent mansion, built in 1907 and lovingly restored. Lisa, our hostess, could not have been more gracious and attentive. She is a talented, creative cook and baker, and prepared a delicious tea-cake as well as a sumptuous, relatively healthy breakfast. She had an assortment of teas set out in parlor. Our only criticism is a minor one: our bed was situated so that one of us had to climb over other, and the interior person had no light or bedside table. She provided a list of recommended restaurants, for our convenience, and even had some large umbrellas by the door for people who might not have brought their own. It is a beautiful, elegant spot just a short walk from the WV State Capitol.

Really enjoyed my stay. Old fashioned, clean, and antique! Excellent service, amazing rooms. The bubble bath was amazing. Owner Lisa is extremely friendly and welcoming as well. 10 out of 10 recommended!!
