Water in the pool was very cold. Wifi not reliable.All Barcelo hotels should offer the same quality of service but this was not the case in sunny beach hotel

The hotel is really good and I would of rated it excellent if it wasn’t for the dirty pool area. The pool itself is great but lots of litter being left from the day before. Not enough bins around the pool area.

Absolutely garbage
100% garbage hotel. Ordered delux suit. About 180 euro a night. No towels, handsoap, shampoo, balsam, nothing when we arrived. Stayed for 48 hours and left. Food was not bad, but the rest was a disaster. I would give the hotel 3 stars, and I would not have been mad if I would pay 50 Euros a night.

The pool area is nice and the room is large, but the furniture in the room does not belong in a five-star hotel. Very outdated, very ugly. I also had to wait one hour past my check in time for my room to be ready and got no apology or anything from the front desk. They did not show any concern. Food in the buffet was ok.

DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER 😞
I was initially quite excited for our stay (I travelled with my mum and my brother), however it turned out that it was not that great after all. Let me start with the good points - the food was amazing! Great diversity and suler tasty and fresh, also the staff in the restaurant were veru polite, with exeption of one extremely miserable woman who told my mum off for taking a couple of fruits on the terrace on the lobby and 5 minites later ingnored ankther tourit who had a whole plate of food at the pool. The room was dirty(video peoof available with dry yellow liquid on the toilet seat, thick dust on the furniture, broken glass on the balcony and actual mould in the shower cubicle... Most of the staff there look as if they do not like their job and the way the speak to you is unacceptable! Manners people, manners will take you a long way!! The pool was lacking beds and umbrellas die to covid they said which was understandable. Location is good but prepare to pay for your parking. In my opinion this hotel should be awarded no more than 3 stars!

Ikke verdt prisen
Hotellet ser pent ut, og rommene er store. Badet hadde både badekar og dusj. Renholdet var dårlig. Hår og sand på gulvet når vi kom, som aldri ble borte i løpet av de 5 dagene vi var der. Det lå hår i sluket i dusjen og vasken var tett. Madrassene var nedliggi, slik at man sov dårlig med stor bøy i ryggen. I tillegg var innsjekkingen kjempetreg, og man fikk ikke lov å utvide tiden på parkeringplassen noen timer avreisedagen, selvom det var få biler i parkeringshuset.

Das Hotel ist eine Katastrophe. Ich habe eine Executive Suite mit 94 m2 im Voraus bezahlt und eine kleine Junior Suite erhalten! Das Hotel ist alt und in einem heruntergekommenen Zustand. Vieles ist kaputt und funktioniert nicht. Das Personal ist entsprechend unmotiviert. Im sogenannten All inklusive Angebot sind die meisten Getränke kostenpflichtig!

I was appalled at the room we were given. I had booked a studio suite with a king size bed. This turned out to be in a semi deserted block at the end of the shopping mall attached to the hotel. It was scary going there in the dark each night, taking the lift to the 3rd floor, which was also deserted and dimly lit. As for the king sized bed, it turned out to be two old wooden single beds pushed together. Not attractive and certainly not comfortable. The reception staff and manager listened but refused to change us and as we were two females (my daughter and I), we felt let down and vulnerable being in a different building to the main hotel.

Please note that all the studios are located in the side sections of our complex. All sections are with direct access to the pool and garden area, the Pool Bar, the Sports Bar, the Lobby, the Reception, and the Buffets. Our complex is a closed one and our Security department is controlling the access through a key card system and monitoring all the premises through a video surveillance system. The common areas are illuminated with motion-sensor lamps and we are sorry if you didn't feel safe as the safe stay of all our clients is one of our main priorities. Please be kindly assured that our Reception Manager is striving to satisfy the requests of all our clients as soon as such a possibility exists. Still, at the beginning of September, our complex has had a high level of occupancy. We are sorry that you were not pleased with the bedding, your comment will be certainly taken into consideration by the Management team. good hotel. The reception hardly answerd the phone. One of them was rude and yelled at me not to call there and hunged up on me. So i went all the way to reception to get soap because the house keeping did not leave us few days!

Don't ruin your holiday, stay away!!!
I spend on average about 70 -100 nights a year in hotels for work & holidays for 20 years now. I'd like to think I know what should be expected of 4/5 star hotels from a guest perspective. This is the first time I'm leaving a review because the experience my family I and had was so awful, it literally ruined our holiday. Firstly, the transfer we arranged with the hotel was 1 hour late to greet us at the airport on arrival, this is fine and I understand traffic delays had led to this, but when I rang the hotel to find out what had happened I spoke to the rudest reception staff I've ever, literally telling me I'd made a mistake and there is no way I could have made travel arrangements with the hotel, then proceeding to hang up on me...4 times! Finally we were about to get into a taxi when the driver arrived and explained the traffic issue. Other key issues experienced at the hotel. Cleanliness throughout the room, dirty and stained curtains, nets curtains, bed sheets and sofa furniture. Basin leaking and not repaired 4 days, which meant having water spraying on our legs each time the taps were turned on, room not being cleaned on 3 occasions, towels not being replaced repeated even when room is cleaned and old towels are collected, we literally had to ask for toilet roll everyday because they wouldn't replace them, each time we speak to house keeping or reception they make us walk to them to collect basic amenities. We begged the manager for a new room, no help at all!!!

Please accept our apology if the transfer from the airport to Barcelo Royal Beach was not performed on time. Till this moment, we haven’t received similar comments by a guest of ours and we are sorry that you didn’t report it at that very day so we could investigate what was the root of the issue and take the corrective measures needed. In addition to that, our Reception is the face of the complex in front of our guests and we are sorry if your experience when being attended was negative at any moment. Our staff's service and kindness are one of our main strengths and we are quite disappointed to hear that you felt we underperformed in this area. Nevertheless, we will not fail to share your comments with our head of department for information and further revision. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the imperfections with the maintenance of the unit, all rooms assigned for new arrivals are per standard double-checked by our team to ensure that everything is functional and spotless for our guests. We are sorry that in your case you have suffered such an inconvenience with the basin, please note that the Maintenance staff tried to react as soon as possible, still, the repair took more time than we expected and we fully appreciate your cooperation. Moreover, we do apology if the cleaning was not at the expected level. We have taken good note of your remarks related to the cleanliness of the unit and these have been shared with the Housekeeping Manager so no further similar issues occur in the future. Really nice hotel and friendly staff. Food 7 becsuse some of the items were overcooked, great variety. Staff friendly despite of cultural differences and helpful. Missing a bit more of entertainment and night show. Indoor swimming pool not heated , really cold to enjoy.

המיקום של המלון ממש 10 המלון נראה 10 ממש !!! האוכל לא רע בכלל!! רק הצוות לא ממש אדיב וסבלני והיה לי מקרה לא נעים עם המארחת בחדר האוכל רצינו לעבור לחדר האוכל ממול אמרה לנו להחליף נעליים סגורות אכן החלפנו ושנכנסנו לחדר האוכל כולם היו בקפקפקים מאוד נעלבנו!!!!!!!!!!!! לא נחזור למלון כזה!! למרות שהשהות בו היתה כייפית ביותר !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We appreciate your positive feedback regarding the central and calm location of our closed complex which allows our guests to reach the promenade and the main street of Sunny Beach in a few minutes. Thank you as well for the nice words related to the cuisine prepared by our Executive Chef. Still, we would like to apologize if you were disturbed by the dress code for dinner at one of our Buffet restaurants. Just as a matter of exactness, we would like to mention that the details regarding the dress code are advised clearly in the welcome package and in front of the Cape Emine entrance. Please again excuse us if you didn't feel attended in the correct manner by any of our employees. Still, we would like to assure you that in any case, the hostess intended to offend you. The dress code is applied only for dinner just in one of our two Buffet restaurants. the hotel itself is very nice and clean and rooms are cleaned daily. the staff, on the other hand, are stone useless. when we checked in we were asked for our passports which were not a problem and we were told we could collect the next day. when we went to collect the passports they told us they could not find our passports and they did not know where there were. we then realized that they mixed up our passports with our friends' passports. the next day we were then asked for proof of payment even though we had paid at check-in, they wanted proof as it was not updated on the system. why was this not updated straight away? the second day came and we wanted to have a shower and we then realized that the shower was blocked. we rang reception and they said they would send someone but did not know how long it would be. 2 hours passed and I went down to reception and asked again and still the same answer, we don't know how long. I asked again the 3rd time and no one ever came to fix our shower. we had to time the showers that we had to shower so quick that the shower didn't overflow. so overall the hotel, in general, is nice but the staff are 100% useless

This ain’t a 5 star hotel as Expedia day it is. It’s a 2 star hotel. Very disappointed! Don’t waste your money! I would recommend you look at other hotels. Sunny beach area is fun and lovely and I will go back but not this hotel. The only good thing about this hotel is location but that is it. Rude hotel staff, damp smell in the room, a stinking smell in the hallway to your room! We arrived and the room look that they gave us look like the cleaners had no interest when preparing the room for our arrival! Old bed linen, no toilet paper and dirty cups. Eating in the restaurant is like eating out in Camden! It’s crazy. Filthy tables! You have to clear your own table and if you ask the people working there they will scream at rudely. Cold food. Pizza, chips, spaghetti, the usual stuff you will find in a 2 star budget hotel in Blackpool. The coffee machine was so dirty. You will be shock to experience this ain’t a 5 star resort! I accidentally visit the spa, which is a building site. They was stil operating! They should have closed the spa! It was not safe and dust and cement everywhere. Not even a locker to put your stuff in! They just placed it in a old dirty cupboard. My massage was so badly done, I would have received a better massage in SoHo. The pool areas, was okay but don’t live up to the 5 star standard. You will swim with plastics lying around. Plastic cups left all over the pool area. And if the life guard don’t come and push you off the sun lounger at 6

Just as a matter of exactness, we would like to mention that our staff is striving to perform in the best manner and that we are quite surprised that you have found them rude at any moment. Please note that thorough cleaning is an absolute must for Barceló and we follow very strict protocols to guarantee satisfying results regarding hygiene and cleanliness in the units and the restaurants. Upon arrival, all the units are being prepared and supplied with the amenities of our brand as per the standards and we are sorry if some misunderstanding occurred. In addition to that, our two Buffet restaurants are being thoroughly cleaned between the different meals and the restaurant staff is maintaining the hygiene during the service. For future occasions we strongly encourage you to contact our Reception in the event of finding any area of uncleanliness , this will give us an opportunity to bring your remarks to the attention of the corresponding Department Head.
