We were a party of six including my two daughters, age 7 and 3. The check-in was not too much trouble except for the fact that the guy did not know the wifi password, which ultimately didn't matter because there was no wifi signal in our room.
The rooms themselves are very small and simple. There is a TV hung on the wall, next to it cables jut out of a hole in the wall. Our room faced a sports facility which was very noisy until about midnight. The windows are not noise reducing. The bathroom in one of the rooms smelled. I had to walk down to the front desk to inform them, because there are no phones in the rooms. The day after they told me they had applied some cleaners to the drain, but the smell didn't improve noticeably.
On the second morning we had no hot water. Boquete is chilly in the mornings. I went down to the front desk but they could not figure out what was wrong. They advised me to turn faucets different ways, all of which I had already tried. I expressed some urgency because my daughter had shampoo on her head at the time. Some time later they told us we could shower in another room where the hot water was working. We all did this half naked trek to the other side of the hotel to take a shower. Next morning we faced the same problem, no hot water, but this time it was compounded by no water pressure at all in the whole hotel. We therefore had to leave that morning without taking a shower.
