Your Big Sky adventure begins at our 4 bedroom mountain home. With 3 king ensuite bedrooms, and a fourth enclosed loft bedroom with one queen bed, one twin bed, and one sofa bed, this luxury retreat is perfect for families or groups of friends. Enjoy the convenience of a well-equipped kitchen, relax with amazing views of the Spanish Peaks mountain range, and spoil yourself with superb ski-in / ski-out access for skiers of all levels. The brand new hot tub on the deck will be ready for you after your last run. Amenities include washer/dryer, roomy kitchen, game table, and space to relax in front of the fireplace. Bathrooms in each bedroom allow plenty of room to freshen up with an additional half bath on the main level.

Inside this mountain home you will find inviting interiors and relaxed furnishings as you enjoy the open family room with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and constant ambiance with mountain views throughout the main floor.

The lower level of this three story mountain house includes front door and garage access (one car) as well as two king bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer.

The main level includes a well-stocked kitchen, half bath, large family room with wood burning fireplace, ski room, and master bedroom with ensuite bathroom including a jetted tub. You have access to Direct Tv Satellite and Roku, just use your own memberships or logins. Steps away from the family room, the roomy kitchen features a four-burner gas range, stainless steel appliances, separate beverage refrigerator, and a granite bar, inspiring home-cooked meals. Three seats at the breakfast bar invite cozy mornings, and the dining table seats six with a wall of windows and a vista of the snowcapped Spanish Peaks. The game/puzzle/card table can be used for extra seating when needed. The outdoor porch, adjacent to the family room, overlooks the Spanish Peaks to the front and ski access to the rear inviting you to the hot tub. The deck also has a propane grill, and hooks for towels or robes. Also on the main floor, the master suite has a gas fireplace and separate balcony overlooking the Spanish Peaks.

The upper floor boasts a large enclosed loft with one queen bed and one twin bed, as well as a comfy couch (pullout) for separate media or game entertainment. The private bathroom has a shower stall.

In the winter, ski access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort is right out the back door - no hiking, no poling. Coming back to the house for a cup of hot chocolate or a quick bite is fast and easy making skiing with large groups on different schedules simple. The wildlife outside our windows include elk, moose, deer, fox and occasionally a bear. *Please note during both Early and Late Ski Season, ski access may be limited or unavailable from the home. The summer at this mountain home may be even more spectacular than the winter. We are approximately 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Explore all the summer activities that Big Sky has to offer. There are several top-rated hiking trails, world class fly fishing, mountain biking, zip lining, horseback riding, ATV rentals/tours, and of course, golfing.

You will be able to check in directly at the house, and the property is professionally managed. Our property manager is available by phone to assist you with any circumstances that may arise during your stay.

Our house is perfect to bring families together yet offers lots of private space when needed. Experience what Big Sky has to offer with a stay at our gorgeous mountain home.

Ski Access:
Ski Access is unbeatable at this Moonlight Mountain Home, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. Ski lift start date varies, but typically early-December. No access until lifts open and after lifts close. Easy access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze.

Ski Out:
Head out the back door and go left, merge left on Pony Express to the Iron Horse Lift, or continue down to Pony Express Lift.

Ski In:
From the top of Iron Horse lift or Madison 8 lift, follow signs for Powder River. Ski through the concrete tunnel towards the bottom left and bear right onto the Gambler ski access. Follow this access which brings you behind the Moonlight Mountain homes on Indian Summer. Look for the ski rack in the back yard.

4 wheel drive REQUIRED in winter
Single car garage
Space for 2 vehicles total (1 in the garage, 1 in the driveway)
No parking for R.V.'s, campers, or trailers; no street parking

This is a beautiful home with spectacular views of the mountains, and the ski in/ski out feature was great! Worked well for us with 4 couples but upstairs room would also be handy for families with kids.

This was our 2nd time visiting Big Sky for a group ski trip and this beautiful property exponentially elevated our experience. The house was spacious and met every need we had. The kitchen was well organized and incredibly functional. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities, such as the welcome basket with helpful essentials and the humidifiers. The hosts clearly care about the guest experience. Between the ski-in-ski-out and the beautiful hot tub views, we can’t see ourselves staying anywhere else in Big Sky. Thank you so much for having us at 12 Indian Summer!

Gorgeous views of the mountains and beyond. Ski-out ski-in were spot on. Accommodations were great for the 9 people as well!! Rented 5 snowmobile in West Yellowstone and went into Idaho and had lunch at the Meadow Creek Lodge (snowmobiles only)

This property is wonderful! It was well appointed, clean and the ski in / ski out access was amazing! You quite literally open the back door, snap on your skis and hop onto a trail that takes you down to two different lifts. Then on the way home you ski up to that same door. No poling, so easy! My family stayed here for our annual ski trip and I would love to return to this property in the future. The home was very comfortable, we had everything we needed and the layout was great, the location was perfect, and the checking-in process was smooth. We actually met the property manager and he was very nice and the owner was fantastic. She was responsive and attentive to any issues or questions that came up and was easy to reach and communicate with, thanks Barbara, hope to visit again in the future!
