Place was overall not very clean. Definitely not what you would expect from a "resort". Even though I pre paid online i still had to pay 100 at check in and another 25 at check out. Also got a parking citation (just a warning) even though i was in one of the lots i was told i could park in because i wasnt given a hang tag. The bed was comfortable but the walls were VERY thin so i could hear every conversation and footstep around me which made it super hard to sleep. The main light in the room didnt work and they dont have anyway to cool the room down except for opening the window so it gets very hot very quick. Besideds that it was nice to be so close to the ski slope and the mall

Location location location is the value here. The property and my room were fine (despite all the terrible reviews) unless you’re seeking the bougie Aspen experience. This is a budget hotel by Aspen standards - and you get budget lodging. A room with some dated furniture, an adequate bed, a hot shower, and a TV. But - it’s probably a 100 yard walk to the slopes where it’s a short easy ski down to the Village Express chair. Snowmass Mall is equally close, as was parking. This is the best ski-in ski-out value you’ll find in Aspen. I’ll be back.

Coffee pods didn’t fit into the coffee maker-wrong size/brand Toilet paper holder broken Room decor from the 1970’s and that’s probably the last time it was vacuumed No cups in the room Minimal towels No towels at the hot tub Hot tub was warm not hot so gross and unclean Chairs are wobbly Room next door has a loud noise that sounds like a compressor vibrating or exploding, this happens every hour or so If we had known we were staying in a cut rate hostel we wouldn’t have paid what we paid and would have chosen to stay elsewhere The checkin process was very bad, there was no one at the hotel we had to go to the hotel next door where they then walk back to the slums to do the check in,

The online reviews were not good but i was familiar with hotel and booked a stay. Jatin at the front desk.was very professional and assisted us with our request. Our room was very comfortable and had excellent views and extremely accessible and convenient for skiing. I just feel that some people will always complain and feel way too privileged. I will return.

This is the cheapest property in Snowmass for a reason. We had the worst night sleep we've ever had at a hotel. Loud thumping music played until 1am. Every time I almost fell asleep a mysterious clinking noise rolled through the ceiling at approx 8 min intervals. Loud thunks were heard every 15-20min. The thermostat didn't work and our room was boiling - it capped out at 78 degrees. The toilet had a little leftover poop from the previous tenant. They gave us 2 towels for 3 people. The sheets had tons of little pills that at first I thought were bugs. The good things: The room had some cute, refurbished features. The front desk people were great and got us extra towels and pillows. Parking was very close (though we had to pay for it). The only great thing: Skiing was a 90 second walk from the building. If you stay here, know what you're getting into and bring ear plugs, sauna-level PJs, and plan to spend as little time in the room as you can.

I never would expect a mousetrap nor open and exposures wires my room. Nor would I expect the room to smell and have the door not be flush to the door frame.. I have stayed and understand these type of places BUT in Snowmass I never would have expected it… let alone a facility to be affiliated with Viewline!

The property was misrepresented. The hotel did not look like the pictures. The rooms didn’t have enough towels for showering and the pool. We had to ask for 2 different coffee makers and neither worked. The common area always had leftover food and beverages from the night before out everywhere. The air conditioning was loud in the room. The overhangs in the outside hallway were leaking and then freezing at night causing ice to be everywhere. The room cleanliness was poor, splashes of food and drink all over the wall. There were cigarettes in our window seals. For the amount of money paid, it was not up to standards. However, the staff were kind and helpful.

We got to the check in desk and was told that we had been moved next door. We actually stayed at Viewline. To be honest it was a fantastic spot. It was on the slopes and a nice newer place. It would have nice to know before we arrived.

I liked that I could use some of the amenities of the Viewline Hotel, and the staff there where very friendly. The location of really good, and has great access to anything at the snowmass mall or the shuttle to snowmass base. As for the actual hotel: So many things in our room were either broken, or didn’t work, smelled like weed and tabaco everywhere. The cleaning service didn’t come 2/5 days, and they came and didn’t vacune, or bring clean cups. Only did the bed, somewhat well. The rooms don’t look like those in the pictures, rather tried to look that way buying cheaper and really run down options. All the upholstery had stains. The chairs where broken from the cushion support. The fridge didn’t work. So many drain and water tube noises at night we could sleep well. For the price of $400 dlls the night, I definitely expected more.

It was difficult to check-in, I had to go back and forth from the high end resort to get front desk service. When I finally received service the clerk was nice and forgiving but did not give accurate instructions o. How to get to our room. It took up and down trips and two elevators later to get there. The room did not have a refrigerator as stated it would. Had to call for an ironing board and microwave. You can tell the hotel is from the 1970’s (or older) NOTHING has been upgraded. No working ice machine, expensive vending machines, no working coffee maker, no signs are directions to help, no staff onsite to ask questions. The decor was so old it was very uncomfortable. The HoJo of Snowmass/Aspen! #disappointed

The elevator is raggedy and very small. The light in my room didn’t work and my door didn’t shut all the way and I stayed with my toddler. They have no dining area no breakfast and you go door to door looking for your room like a motel but they charge hotel prices. I recommend staying at their newer property Viewline

This hotel is in horrible shape. IT was the cheapest option in Aspen for a one night emergency stay (almost $350). The room was from 1950. The hallways had missing closet doors. Electrical panels we off hinges. It was terrible. There was a bean bag chair as a piece of furniture. Only one working light in the room, other than the light by the entrance door. And no switch for that light.

Run! Don't do it!
This is not a hotel but a run down filthy motel. They don't staff it at all. Everything is run out of the hotel down the street and those employees treat you like a second class citizen. The room smells like mold. The sheets were dirty. I found another persons clothes in the room. The lights didn't work. The heat didn't work. They gave me a half used bottle of conditioner. No shampoo and a half used bottle of lotion. It was so bad we didn't even stay. The location is great. It's too bad every other aspect of this motel is trash.

No one at check in, difficult to get luggage up to room as you have to walk outside, bedding thin, no extra blankets in room (no one at the front desk to get help from), furniture is tired, stained, chipped. Walls thin, lots of noise (no one at the front desk to inform). Lock on door did not work. One night total was over $500! Not worth it

The room was dirty and furniture was falling apart. A consistent cold breeze blows in from the door. Our bedding was initially stained and dirty so housekeeping had to come remake the bed. They dont use fitted sheets on the mattress, they also dont have mattress protectors. The sheet situation made the room feel unhygenic.

The place: Room only had 2 pillows for 4 people. Had to wait 4 hours for staff to find more. No housekeeping ever visited the room. Sink didn’t work. No toilet paper for the last day, which front desk said they would bring more and never did. One hot tub was broken. You had to jump over caution tape straddling the pool edge to reach the one tub that wasn’t broken. Place was so run down and in major need of updating, or better yet, a demo to level it and start over. The staff: front desk was only open a few hours a day, and were extremely unhelpful. Did not answer the phone at the front desk. Had to visit the neighbor hotel for help. They prioritize the other facility over this hotel. Only good thing is the connivence to the lift. But then you’re stuck eating bar food. 10/10 do not recommend.

Don't Let The Pictures Deceive You!
The pictures make this hotel look new and cool, but it is anything but. It is a run down motel, the rooms smell horrible. The beds and furniture are new, and there is ample room for ski gear storage, which was great. The beds are also very comfortable, but overall the place felt like a dump. There is no one at reception, so you have to go to the sister hotel and get someone to walk over and help. The first day we had no soap, shampoo, etc. Then every day the cleaners would remove something strange like the bath mat and not replace it, or all the soaps. Clearly there was no system in place there for cleaning or otherwise. I would not stay there again.

Our stay was definitely sub-par. Upon arrival to our room, there was zero toilet paper (which was only provided after we asked for it a second time and 2.5 hrs later), no remote control for the tv, the thermostat was set to 90 degrees, the bed frame was falling apart, the door to our room was extremely drafty, and one of the hot tubs didn’t work. We had a pleasant visit here once before this one, but will not be staying here again.

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a motel. (Please note this is a motel, not a hotel.). Basic amenities were consistently broken or out of supply. Short staffing was the constant refrain of excuse. But there was no hesitation to take my full payment in exchange for their understaffed, incompetent experience.

First when arriving the room was not ready. We were told housekeeping was cleaning it. We waited over an hour. Like others we were given a room that was not cleaned properly - soap from prior guests in shower, no towels, not all pillows had pillow cases, room did not have a fridge. This room should be condemned because the tub/shower had gashes in the bottom and rusty bubbled areas on the side of the tub. This was the worst hotel room i have ever stayed in. We are old campers so roughing it is something we are ok with but not when you pay so much for a room. The staff was basically non existent. I agree the appearance is Viewline, who manages this property, does not care to put any money into staff or amenities. It was a real disappointment.
