I noticed how there was unique access to shared appliances and activities for anything you could possibly need on your stay. We also couldn’t help but notice how dog friendly it was throughout. The only thing I didn’t love was the parking.

Pros: Spacious suite, comfy bed, convenient parking by entrance near room, friendly desk staff, early check-in allowed, A/C worked well, located next to a strip mall with several restaurants. Cons: Hallways smelled awful, charge for early check-in (room is just sitting empty anyway,) coffee free but pretty bad, cereal cup for $4 but no milk. Verdict: Good value overall and will stay again (but will bring a travel Keurig and breakfast!)

The room was clean and neat. The staff was very helpful and compromising. The only thing the bed was too small, I am only 5 feet tall. A double mattress would have been better.

I stayed at Sonesta Simply Suites Detroit Ann Arbor, and my experience didn't quite match the 8.4 rating I saw online. Right off the bat, there was a noticeable smell of cigarettes in the lobby. The doors lock after 11pm, which I guess is for security, but it made me wonder about the safety of the location. The cleanliness of the room could be improved, as it felt somewhat unkept. The hotel is set behind a strip mall, and I noticed some rooms looked lived-in, complete with holiday decorations. Overall, it seems like there's room for improvement to live up to its high rating. Fine if you want to save a few bucks.

The hotel is an average property. It is good for the price you pay. The staff were always nice. I traveled alone and stayed for 3 nights. I always felt safe. The room was a good nice. It's great to have a kitchen to warm up leftovers and keep drinks in the fridge. My only complaint is that the shelf in the bathroom was pretty dusty. It made me nervous about the rest of the room, but after initial inspection of the room it was fine.

Staff is so kind, the hotel is clean and quiet, and honestly my only regret is not bringing my dog, because she would've had a great time. The room itself was spacious, clean, and included a well-stocked kitchenette (in terms of appliances and tableware), and the bathroom was equally spacious and well-stocked. I will absolutely stay here again anytime I have to come to Ann Arbor.

The Sonesta Simply Suites has truly superceded my expectations. It is an older property that has been kept up very well over the years. While staying here, they were actually replacing the roof with a new one. While it seems to be very dog friendly, I did not smell anything doggish about the place. The front desk staff was kind and helpful from beginning to end.

Rooms are large and comfy. Have a large Long desk, kitchenette with full size fridge and freezer and microwave. Staff extremely nice. Location is close to U Mich and freeway and shopping. They even have items and games u can borrow. Many personal touches. Great free laundry room for guests. Very happy and will def stay again. Only complaint is showerheads are a bit weak. Small price to pay tho for great stay. And it’s obvious they love dogs!!!

We stayed for one night, it was okay. Room was spacey with a kitchen but it smelled pretty bad in the room and the sheets didn’t seem very clean I saw a lot of hairs. It was cheaper and fine for one night but probably wouldn’t go again.
