Mauvais hôtel
Depuis que je visite White Plains c'est la pire place ou j'ai séjourné. On m'a volé mon argent. Notre sejour n'ai pas été bon, pas de baignoire , salle de bain très vielle, pas d'internet, pas de petit déjeuner, on a du prendre le bain dans une autre place même aller manger le matin hors de l'hotel. Jamais j'ai eu une place tellement mauvaise à White plains. La seule bonne chose c'est ou l'hôtel est place .

The floor was extremely hot, the airconditioning barely worked, some of the outlets did not work, none of the lights or refrigerator were plugged in, the television worked the first night but the other 2 nights was completely static and un-useable, the room had dirty floors and a disgustingly dirty bathroom

This is not a hotel. Just a filthy apartment.
This place is disgusting. It doesn't not look much like the pictures. The "front" desk pictured on orbitz doesn't exist... You have to go to another building to check in, and the attendant was unprofessional and not helpful. When you get to the actual hotel across the street, there is no front desk and no attendant. It's just a small, dirty, empty lobby. Upstairs it gets worse. Elevators are from the 60's and smell like mildew. And the room? The room was the best part. Smelled disgusting, dirty bathroom, hot (a/c wasn't working right because it was 30 years old), and generally gave a feel of someone's dirty living room. I don't EVER leave reviews online, and this is honestly my first one ever. I didn't stay the night... Booked another hotel 30 minutes away just to avoid actually sleeping in this place. $160+ is a joke for this hot filthy cesspool.

Oh my goood I've ever been in a horrible hotel like Esplanade Hotel. The worst hotel all over NY . So dirty, No Internet; plus the people who work there like the receptionist the girl is sooooo rude she can't even do any favor one asks.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at
It sucked. The rooms smelt terrible, we were supposed to have pull out couches and there wasn't any. We were supposed to have smoking rooms and we didn't get it. The bathrooms were disgusting and there was graffiti in the room. The staff was nice and that's about it.

Hotel looks and feels like a motel from a movie.
Hotel staff, 1 man working 2 buildings, the night we checked in he had to run across the strret with us to check us in, his attitude was nasty with headphones in ears. Stepped on 4th floor to strong weed smell. No batteries in tv remote, ancient tv. Just horrible!!!

Extremely disappointed in condition of room.
The hotel looks like it used to be a college dorm. The room had a very strong chemical smell in it and it was not well maintained. There was mold on the curtains and no way to control the heat, which was blasting.

Horrible reminded me of the Bates Mote. No one was ever at the front desk. To check in and out you had to go across the street. Carpet was dirty and stained. The only reason we picked it was the area but would never go there again.

Not the best stay
I was standing at the reception areas for at least 20 minutes before the girl came back from wherever she was to check us in. Then she couldn't find my reservation and had to ask me to prove I really did reserve a room I had paid for. She wasn't the friendliest girl. The first room they gave me had no sheets or covers on the bed. It was two bare beds. I had to go back to her to get a different room. The next room was fine however. It wasn't a good experience for me really. Because I was with my children I didn't make a big deal about all of their mishaps but I guess for the price you kind of can't complain much anyway. I won't be taking my kids to stay there anymore.

昔からある古いホテルの様なので、部屋の（特に風呂場）清潔感という点では、少し周りのホテルに劣ります。しかし、フロントの対応がものすごく丁寧で、道を聞けば、表に出て教えてくれるし、タクシーの手配も完璧です。玄関に入るたびに、何か困った事はないか？と尋ねてくれるし、アメリカでこんな対応のホテルは珍しいです。キッチンも付いているので近くのスーパーで買い物をして部屋で食べるのがおすすめです。

Hotel is old,the staff are rude and insolent
Got to the hotel 9pm of day 1 of a 4 days booking. Bed terrible, phone kept ringing and the staff when found was very rude. Checked out 8am d following day. They refused to return the money. Manager always not around.

The first room they gave us someone was already in there, second room had 2 mice. Third room had no other occupants human or rodent so i guess it was ok

Me and my family was move three time and we checked around 11:45pm. Each room was not clean and was unable to shower and we checked out around 8:00 am.

I am sorry you did not have A/C in your room. The A/C has been on for weeks. We could had sent someone to address the issue or change your room.

Do not stay at this seedy hotel
Room smelled. Everything in the room needs to be replaced. Did not want to take a shower there. No staff at front desk at check inn had to go across the street to do so. Yeeccchhhhh!

I apologize, but we do not have wi-fi in the rooms. Though we charge for internet in the rooms, we are not enforcing this sue to lack of wi-fi. We do offer complementary wi-fi access in our breakfast room.

Unfortunately the pump broke that day and hot water could not circulate throughout the building. Problem was corrected later that day. We apologize for the inconvenience.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
This Hotel should be shut down by State or DOH that's how bad it was. I could not even stay. Had to check out. And they have nerves to charge in range of $160.00. Never again.

No hot water in shower, no wifi in room, no staffed front desk, no real security (anyone can walk up to the upper rooms undetected). Overall a terrible, depressing, hotel that does not at all match the description on its website. For the same price you can easily find a hotel in this area that has none of the problems this one has.

The room was outdated and hot. I was told that they don't turn on the A/C until later in May???? So their only solution for me was open the window......no screens???? But on the upside, the location is great and so was the staff

I will never go back to this hotel. The room was a sauna when we walked in and there was no air conditioning at all. There was also a terrible cigarette smell in a non-smoking room.

I was in a non smoking room yet someone was smoking and it came in through one of the vents . when I reported it to the front desk it took forever for someone to come check , but the person who come was a smoker , so , they could not smell anything. The rooms where nice , but some of the promised stuff ,like pots and coffee pot were not there..

I want a full financial refund!
The hotel was overpriced. The hotel was old, the accommodations were outdated, the beds were horribly uncomfortable, and the key too the door would not work. My wife had to walk across the street when we got back to the hotel at night two separate times to try and get a working key. It took her 45 minutes. The reason she had to walk across the street was because there was no hotel staff working, however there were hotel staff at the nursing home across the street which is owned by the same company.

Not bad
The room was clean and very basic. This is not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I was there for one night and it was a comfortable room and the lowest price hotel in White Plains! There was a small kitchenette that would come in handy if staying for an extended period of time. The bed mattress was soft and bouncy and all the furniture was functional but nothing special. The neighborhood is downtown white Plains, so close to restaurants and bars. This was not a bad place to stay for one night. I read in other reviews that no one was available at the desk for check-in, I didn't have that problem. I had a problem with the T.V. in the room and the maintenance person came to help right away. I did have trouble finding a vending machine, they are located in another building that is assistant living apartments, that are attached to the hotel. A little different. I would stay again.

Dump near downtown White Plains
Terrible accommodations and no available WiFi. Sole internet connection is wired to the room and costs $10 per day. Except for its location, there is nothing to recommend Esplanade.

Good stay
I needed the room for a birthday getaway. It was a good size. The person who worked the front desk tried very hard to get me a new room because I thought it'd be the two room suite. I appreciated that greatly! The only downside was two people who worked at the hotel (some strange man who left before I could fully wake up and realize he was there and a woman in house keeping) came into my room. The man left but the lady in house keeping argued with me and it was only 10 and check out was at 12. That I did not appreciate.

This place is a dump
I would classify the room as a dump to be honest. all of the furniture was pressed corkboard, the TV looked like one I owned in 1990, and was about 16 inches big. The bed had a think comforter and sheets that's it, and the bed was not comfortable. The floors were filthy and had drywall particles everywhere. Finally the shower head was broken and leaked about 30% of the water coming out, straight out toward the mirror.

Terrible. All around. They were low on staff so no one manned the front desk. And when I finally found someone to help check me in, they had a horrible attitude and was extremely rude. Also, the beds were uncomfortable and the "free breakfast" was minimal. No blow dryer or ironing board. Also, I killed 3 cockroaches during my 4 night stay.

the room and the hotel smelled terrible and service was no where to be found at the front desk. they had another senior residence across the street and asked the person desk took 15 mins trying to get the right person to answer our needs.
