Nice hotel, close to the Maverick!

Les + : Location for our interests.
Les - : Really nothing, unless it would be assistance with luggage to the second floor.
Situation : As explained previously.
We were greater with the fact that we had 3 rooms reserved!!! Have no idea how that happened and we are still struggling to keep that from being charged to our credit card! We had a suite and the heater in the living portion did not work, however it was put in working order within the hour. The breakfast and happy hour are great. This is our second visit and will return next year!

Les + : Bed comfortable
Only 3 hangers and took 3 calls to get more, took 2 calls and a visit to the front desk to get 2 more pillows, had to have keys reprogrammed 3 times since they stopped working, refrigerator didn't work and replacement froze everything even at the lowest setting. Wouldn't recommend.

Good hotel

Publié le 14 févr. 2015
Situation : It is located in Northeast part of town but had good access to everything.
Had a few issues but were resolved by staff. Missing plug in tub and sink. Minor. They had Happy Hour every afternoon and excellent breakfast each morning. Would stay again.

Excellent service. Dinning area should have more tables to accomodate customers during the busy time in the weekend.

Was not helpful!

Publié le 26 janv. 2015
Les + : Nothing.
Les - : Don't tell me I can leave but not receive a refund!
As soon as I arrived, I noticed that the pool and Jacuzzi were out of order. Told them I did not wish to stay at that property. I wanted to use the Jacuzzi. Was told I could go to another hotel, but I was not getting my money back!!

Located in a great area

Publié le 26 janv. 2015
Les + : location
Les - : extra blanket in the closet
Situation : It is close to the road to Summerhaven and Biosphere 2
It was close to Trail Dust Town which has a great Farmers' Market on Fridays and the Tanque Verde Tucson Tamale location. The bed was comfortable but did not have heavy enough blankets for me. I feel they should not have charged the resort fee since the pool and spa were under construction and unusable. The breakfast area was kept very clean and well-stocked by the friendly attendant.

Convenient, but that's about all.

Publié le 2 janv. 2015
Les + : Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
Les - : Needs a major overhaul of hardware and decor, which is not likely soon.
Situation : Sabino Canyon, shopping, restaurants.
We have stayed at this Ramada several times over the past 10 years due to proximity to our parents' place in the Catalina foothills, and it seems to have gone downhill. Plumbing and light fixtures are old, carpet is dingy and stained. Bathroom fluorescent light took minutes to warm up and was quite dark at first. No bath towels were in the room when we arrived. Minifridge and microwave are a plus, as is free wifi and breakfast. Breakfast was of reasonable quality, with scrambled eggs/cheese omelets, sausage, gravy, biscuits, and other breadstuffs, cereals, etc. Staff did a good job of keeping up with demand but eating area was too small some mornings forcing people to eat outside in chilly December mornings, and once they ran out of food. Walls are paper thin and we were kept up by giggling teenagers or screaming children. Room keys reset several times during our stay requiring us to go to the front desk to get the cards rekeyed - this happened twice for 2 different rooms, and front desk staff seemed very familiar with this problem. We did not try the pool or hot tub due to chilly weather, and were nor around un the afternoons for the manager's reception (2 drinks per person per day). Heating/cooling units are very loud and cycle on every 20 minutes, causing large swings in temperature that have you chilly one minute and sweating the next, not to mention having to reset TV volume. TV worked intermittently.
