Never again to Taba Eights!
The place looks like an abandoned movie set. The room was fine, but dirty. When I stepped into the shower it was full of sand brought from the beach probably from the previous occupiers. One sink tap was leaking and flooding all the bathroom top. Breakfast was acceptable, but the food was not very tasty and drinks terrible. The hotel beach was awful, rubbish everywhere and probably the only place all along the cost with no reef. I went there only one day and a poor camel stayed tied down (neck to front legs), unable to stand up, for hours. The only positive thing is people at the reception desk, all very kind and helpful. I felt a bit sorry for them. Taba Heights is located in the middle of nowhere and there is no transport to go and visit places outside of it unless you pay an awful amount of money and use the internal travel agent. We left the second day....

Hello everyone we enjoyed the hotel in our holiday .. from the reception at the front desk Dear Mr. Alex , the staff and entertainment to the last staff all was very nice and want to help .. The pool was pleasant and the activities varied .. Except for the food which was not so delicious .. We would love to recommend the hotel For any family that want to spend quality time together .. treatable experience. very bad food. the hotel was over booked and not ready for this kind of amount of guest. we left the hotel the day after we got there after 50 min waiting for table at the restaurant morning and launch.the beach is 15 min driving by buss. drinks was very bad. no ice.

Really nice place, we got upgrade to pool view room, we was two couples of friend, everything was good, we enjoy from the pool, and from the animation team, and from the local shops in the resort.

Food very bad. Not clean coffee machine. I can't find good food, i went to another hotel to find good food. Room does not have anything. Even they refused to give me the room i did reserve.

My children and I had a WONDERFUL stay at this resort! The staff was super friendly and made our stay amazing! They were fun, caring, kind and became apart of our family! The room was great, with hot water and great water pressure. We also loved all the meals and especially the POOLS! My kids lived on the water slides and we spent all day there! The only disappointment was that there is no internet in the rooms, but they said that this will change in the coming weeks. Also, it was hard for me to get a strong connection in the lobby, but that’s no deal breaker! Also, it would have been nice the have channels on the TV for the kids to watch during down time since there was no internet in the room. But again, not a deal breaker! One more thing: steer clear AWAY from the beauty salon that is on property- the man who works there is a PERVRT and sexual harraser. Other than the few things mentioned, this place is perfect and I HIGHLY recommend it, and hope that our family can return on day!

Es fahren regelmäßig Shuttle-Busse zum Stand und zwischen den Hotels, diese waren auch in der Regel pünktlich. Man kann auch laufen, es ist nur ein guter Kilometer zum Meer. Mir war es aber zu heiss, ich habe den Bus genommen. Die Entfernung zum Meer ist natürlich ein Nachteil im Vergleich zu den anderen Hotels. Dafür gibt es Uptown mehrere Restaurants zur Auswahl. Im Fying Carpet Restaurant zum Beispiel wurden mir jeden Abend super leckere vegane Speisen und Smoothies zubereitet, tolle, frische Salate usw., zu überaus fairen Preisen. Ich habe so ca. 6 - 7 Euro pro Tag für Dinner ausgegeben. Das ist inklusive Getränke wie frischen Säften und Bier. Mein Zimmer war tip-top und sehr ruhig. WiFi gibt es leider nur an der Rezeption im Wekala. Da bin ich lieber nach dem Baden in die Bar-Lounge im Strand Hotel um meine Mails zu checken. Da sitzt man gemütlicher und kann einen Cocktail schlürfen. Alles in allem kann ich das El Wekala in Uptown Taba Heights nur Empfehlen.

the hotel was lovely the rooms were quite spacious but was not cleaned often the breakfast buffet was good but,dinner was a bit same same. the staff were quite friendly and very helpful. I would go again.

Harassment, suspect of taking away my cellphone du
Very bad experience. 1. I heard that there were two German women were stabbed in a resort in South Sinai When I arrived the resort. 2. The restaurant manager asked me to have a drink in the hotel room, that is absolutely harassment for a female guest, and very offensive, very impolite, I refused. He ordered a waiter to stop me taking water from the water machine but other guests can have food, soft drink, coffee and tea. I was scared too, very scared. 3. When I was talking to the receptionist for arranging a taxi or hotel Limousine to the border, my Cellphone disappear. Strand beach resort told me that my cellphone is with that receptionist. The receptionist refuses pay on line but insist an international money transfer by wires, China control the foreign currency export. This is the only way the hotel accept. it is the 22nd date, they still refuse to return my cellphone back. I am very upset.

My cellphone was took away when I was calling a taxi/Limousine for an hour (From 4:30 - 5:30pm), they did not return to me after 22 days. My cellphone is with them now.

The bathrooms need a lot of work
The towels provided looks and feels like they came from a car wash. The towels were also very obviously frayed. No tissues in the tissue box holder. The only complimentary toiletry is a shower cap. The bathroom just did not look or feel clean.

Great hotel, phantastic value for money. The only suggestion is that they might indicate things like the reception or parking a little better - we got lost before arriving!
