“If you want cheap and a place to sleep, this will do.”

This hotel was located along a known prostitution area of Singapore. Every day upon leaving and returning to hotel I was asked if I was looking for a girl or to come in and take a look. *The sheets were cleaned, yet stained. *The floors were not swept, as my feet were covered in dust every time I removed my shoes. *The WiFi went out, and there is no free provider service in the area. Additionally, the cost is S$5 for 2 hours, with 10 and 24 hour packages, however, it says if you log out of your account you time is over. Thus, you cannot leave the hotel with your computer or you will be logged out. This goes to what many say, you get what you pay for. I am not complaining about the hotel, but you should know what you to expect when selecting it. Have a good trip!

“Wet the Bed Matresses”

Room - good standard for price with espn sports channel on tv :) and bathroom ok to, but plastic matress not so comfy and is its situated in the red light district so put 2 and 2 together and makes it feel grotty. location poor - long bus ride into town 15 mins plus and a 10 min walk to nearest MRT tube station this walk safe at night but u see some seedy sights. we moved on to little india and had a much better time Staff - very freindly and cant fault them although wifi interenet way 2 expensive.

“Good Value”

For the price, it is a good value. Comfortable place to stay a couple of nights. The Geylang area is a little chaotic by Singapore standards, but the hotel is very quiet and secure. MRT station is 10 minutes walk, taxis are fairly cheap also.

No refrigerator, blankets with burn holes; location in a red light district ... this is not a hotel to go back to unless you really are on a budget

“Clean, safe, basic hotel. Good food nearby!”

Arrived early, was charged a fee (S$40) to go up to room, it was pretty clean, definitely 2-3 star, fairly quiet, very basic rooms but clean and tidy. The area was definitely safe and despite several brothels lining both sides of the street a bit further up, it wasn't bad and definitely not sleazy or gross or anything. Excellent coffeeshop on the end of the street serves some of the best Singaporean food! I'd stay again. Staff were quite helpful. Nice hotel. Shower was ok, good water pressure, and they provided shower gel and shampoo via a wall dispenser - needs a shower curtain though. Was fairly close to the train, maybe a 5-7 min walk, but cabs are so cheap, it's worth just hailing one outside the train. The hotel may be a bit hard to find as the street names/numbers don't seem to follow a logical pattern. Overall, good hotel, clean, safe, good food at end of street, friendly staff, definitely stay there again.

“Interesting hotel in colourful area”

This and its sister establishments are in the centre of the Geylang red-light district. Convenient for either city or airport and always buzzing. Its primary attribute is price compared to all the posh hotels in city proper. Down side is the seediness of the area, though plenty of food and drink place at very reasonable prices nearby.

“Not great, but good for the money”

Considering Singapore is a pretty expensive place for hotels, this one isn't bad for what it costs. It isn't a great neighborhood (not unsafe, just not near anything cool), but it isn't hard to get to better ones.

A great budget hotel, good clean and comfortable. Handy for rail link into town and close to shops and restaurants.

“Cheap, Clean, friendly...in the redlight district, what do you say? lol”

My experience at Fragrance Hotel- Crystal was a satisfying stay. The hotel seems to be very new and is very clean. The pricing for this hotel is resonable. House keep does a good job on taking care of the room. The rooms are a bit small too...If you are from the U.S. there is one thing you have to get use too...there are no shower doors in the bathrooms so the entire bathroom gets soaked when you take showers and that is a negative about this hotel. The beds are plastic mattress, tends to get hot at times. The area around the hotel is safe however, it is the red light district. Although it is the red light district the people you'll see around you at night won't bother. There is a bus stop near by the hotel however, no MRT trains near nor Western (American) food ie; McDonalds etc.
