would NOT stay again. Fireplace nor the heater worked and the staff didnt care we were freezing when we contacted them twice. Also, NO phones in rooms and noone at desk to call for problems after 1030. Save money and stay elsewhere

The description of the room that we reserved was not the room we got. We reserved a King with a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed, just a couch. Front office staff showed me a room with a sofa bed - the sofa bed is not a typical size sofa bed. It is a very small futon that would not fit a teenager. When I asked about a partial refund I was told they could not do anything since I booked through a third party. My husband then had to go out and buy a blowup mattress. The king bed we had was extremely firm, it felt like I was sleeping on cement. I woke up every couple hours in pain and unable to sleep well. The parking is very tight. It is in a good location to walk to restaurants. They did have a good spread for breakfast.

The rooms were very spacious and clean And breakfast was good, plenty of food continental style including waffles and hard boiled eggs for protein. We were disappointed that there was no microwave in the room although there was a community one down the hall. The gym was a total disappointment and that there was really only one working machand it was a cheap one. The rain style shower was nice.But low flow pressure made for a week shower

The Ascot Suites in Morro Bay offered a delightful base for my exploration of the charming coastal town. The location was fantastic: quiet yet a walkable distance to a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations and local insights. However, my overall experience was unfortunately dampened by the cleanliness of my room. Finding long hair on the bedding of the king-size bed, as well as in the bathroom tub, was a major disappointment. This detracted from the otherwise cozy and comfortable atmosphere of the room and raised concerns about hygiene standards.

When I walked in the lady at the front with dark hair was amazing . No phones in the room to call the front and then the next morning and took a shower and the shower was dirty and someone's hair was on the walls and you could see that the shower wasn't clean . I told the morning front desk guy and he says to me sorry sorry will have someone clean it .. ?!!! Really ? How about hat will take care of you for that happening . No didn't happen

The front desk person was nice. This was no way her fault. I'm not sure how busy it really is but the rooms weren't cleaned by check in. We didn't check in until almost 1 hour and 30 minutes after check in. The cleaners were short staffed and was being rushed to clean leaving behind the previous guest's old food in the fridge. It makes you wonder what else was skipped or missed in the rush?

The Ascot is a nice place but beginning to show its age in very slight ways. Good location. The only other thing that I can think of for less than a five star is "breakfast". Some fruit, breads, cereals and a waffle maker pretty much sum it up. If you consider anything that would be in the protein group, eggs, sausage, bacon, as an essential for a true breakfast, you'll be disappointed as I was. There are some fast food places in the area as well as regular restaurants/coffee shops so all is not lost, but breakfast at the Ascot is less than a 5 star rating.
