“à recommander”
propre sérieux, pas trop loin du centre, rien à redire, très agréable.
“We loved this hotel”
We absolutely loved this hotel. We had been in Greece before travelling to Rome. Due to a strike in Greece we had to arrive 1 day early. This hotel was really great to us. Without question our room was readily made available to us. Because it had not been book in advance there was a small rate change of about $10. I was thrilled. We arrived late at night via taxi. The hotel is about 10 minutes via cab from Romes Termini. Our room was amazing and very clean and comfortable. Very large with an enormous terrace. There is a train station nearby but you would never know it. We went to the breakfast room in the morning...What a spread! Eggs, cereals, pastries, fruits and a wonderful cappucino machine. The bus stop is literally 2 blocks away and there are 2 buses (If memory serves correctly the 182 and 61 bus routes) that will take you all over the city to most of the main stops. I recommend a 3 or longer tourist transit card. For a small price you can use this for all major transit for unlimited trips on buses and the metro all over town. The metro stop looks close on the map, but is not in my opinion. The trick is to take either bus to the nearest metro stop is you are travelling far. As for the neighborhood it is very clean and safe. We were coming and going at all hours and I never once was uncomfortable. The hotel staff was great to us. The prices are great. I will certainly stay here again the next time I am in Rome.
“nice and clean but rude staff”
I found the hotel it self very comfortable a little far out. the one thing i didnot like was the staff were very rude.
“Good value - very impressed”
Nice modern hotel with good sized rooms. Very good buffet breakfast. Situated about 1km from Via Appia Neuevo and either Fiori Camillo or Ponte Lungo Metro stations.
“So-So hotel in terrible neighborhood”
The hotel is in the area of San Giovanni in Rome. You need to walk 5 minutes to catch a bus and around 15 to go into the Metro. The neighborhood is not so great. It can look a bit scary. The hotel is so-so (not impressed). THe only good thing is the continental breakfast - which is included. THey charge you 4 Euros per hour on the Internet.
“Professional, comfortable and clean.”
Good hotel, staff, rooms and comfort. A little outside of central Rome but with easy access to Metro and bus service. Main line train close to hotel for travellers wishing to venture further afield. Some good local restaurants to enjoy an evening in.
“Best cost!!! Good room, good bed!”
Lovely hotel, staff very attetion, the location at night is not so good for restaurants but i give an 8!
“Don't Bother!!”
I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express before, so I had an idea in my head how it should look. It did not look how I imagined. The reception area was clean and tidy. I was travelling with my family (2 adults, 2 children both 16). The room was very small, the bed for the kids was a sofa bed. The sofa had seen better days as it was old and dirty. The shower had mould at the bottom of the shower. There was soap supplied but no other toiletries were in the bathroom. There was a large party of school kids staying at the same time as us. There was a lot of noise from them and they telephoned our room a few times during the night. When I reported it to the recepionist the following day, he didn't seem to interested to be honest. Breakfast was OK, the usual from a continential breakfast. The hotel is in a very bad and run down area. We always made sure we were back at the hotel in the early evening as I didn't fancy walking late at night. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Not Impressed!”
Ok for the value, not at all satisfied with the location it was far from all the sites. I stayed for two nights in this place and i kinda feel bad for picking this hotel because i had family come visit all the way from Texas to be disappointed. The room was soooooo tiny!
“Good and comfatable hotel”
This hotel is far from Rome Termini Station. However, you can take Metro subway line A and get off at Ponte Lungo stop. It is walking distance from Ponte Lungo to the hotel about 10 minitues on foot. Hotel was clean and the air conditioner worked well. When I check the reviews before I book this hotel, everybody said that this hotel was very hot. However, when I stayed between June 18 to June 20, the hotel was cool and air condition worked perfectly well. Breakfast was not so good, and they did not provide any fruits and no boiled egges even though they are continental breakfast.
