Hôtel réservé à l'occasion de notre lune de miel. Chambre très propre et moderne avec une vue splendide sur la plage de Copacabana. Petit déjeuner très bien. Je n'ai jamais caché mon MacBook dans le coffre de la chambre et je n'ai jamais eu de problème. Comme il faut bien trouver une critique, un jour de pluie intense, démunis nous avons demandé à la réception s'ils avaient des parapluies pour les clients juste de quoi courir à la première boutique en acheter un ? Et bien non rien du tout ! Nous en avons acheté un (5€) que nous avons offert à la réception de l'hôtel le jour de notre départ. Un petit plus que devrait offrir un hôtel de ce standing.

Hotel moderne, très bon confort , et un peu de charme tout de meme Ce n'est pas l'usine, le personnel est accueillant et serviable Notre chambre donnait directement sur la plage de copacabanna, je recommande fortement cet hotel si vous souhaitez loger dans cette partie de rio Cependant attention à votre relevé de CB au retour car l'hotel a chargé ma carte sans autorisation alors que le séjour avait déjà été payé sur expedia (il m'ont recrédité après réclamation)

Personnel très aimable, accueillant et vraiment soucieux du confort des clients. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, vue grandiose sur la plage Copacabana + piscine + salle de muscu + sauna et un service irréprochable.

“Good Hotel right in the center of Copacabana beach with great views”

Good Hotel right in front of Copacabana beach and center with good views of the beach and mountains. The hotel staff are both good and knowledgeable, speak good english and gave me some good tips/info on local shopping, sightseeing etc. Infact they upgraded me to the next level as a spare room was available which I thought was a nice gesture. Location of the hotel is great. Cross the road and you are on the beach. Lots of resturants right next door with too many choices for food. Convenience stores are 5 mins walk (there's one 24 hr store which is in the lane behind the hotel). Situated in a very good area and it is very safe. Taxis que up right outside the hotel entrance and the hotel staff help with calling taxis, speaking in local language etc Rooms are decently sized, clean, neat and showers are very good. Bathroom, very neat and tidy and lighting is fine. The roof top bar is done up well and some good breathaking views of the beach in the front and also the christ redeemer is visible from the back side The restaurant on the ground floor is decent. Although I did not have any meals here, I had breakfast every morning and the spread was quite impressive for a complimentary breakfast Happy that I chose this hotel and will certainly come back here

It's a modern hotel with gorgeous view of the Copacabana beach. Very clean, good neighborhood and easy access to the beach and transportation.

“Good choice for Copacabana”

First things first - hotels in Copacabana (and Rio generally) are expensive by European/North American standards, which makes this hotel even better value for money. Compared to what you'll pay nearby, this is one of the best options on Ave. Atlantico. Optically, the hotel is noticeably smarter from the outside than virtually any other hotel in Copacabana (with the exception of the Copacabana Palace) and the hotel interior continues this theme. The reception is smart and the staff friendly and efficient. The rooms are in a similar vein, being clean, compact and corporate. The whole hotel exudes an air of classy efficiency and is only let down by the lifts, which have a tendency to jam and be generally temperamental. The breakfast is served in a prime location within the hotel, affording great people-watching opportunities. Likewise, the top floor pool area is in a great location, although it would be a hardy soul who braves the unheated pool in anything other than the mid-summer heat. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. it's smart, modern and clean, with decent bedrooms and great staff service. The only criticism (if that) is that it is a tad corporate-heavy, but at least that guarantees certain levels of standards and quality. You'll struggle to do better for the same money in Rio.

“Worth Considering - Excellent Location”

I travel extensively throughout Brazil and have visited Rio de Janeiro several times. This hotel is ideally located on central Copacabana and has a wonderful roof top bar with pool and lounge chairs. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable, albeit on the small side which is normal for Rio de Janeiro. I stayed in a Deluxe room with ocean view. I found the room AC fan abit on the loud side as well. The restaurant was a comfortable size and typical good healthy breakfast was included with the room. This hotel is worth considering if you want to stay in Copacabana.

“Great facility, but Service lacks”

The Arena hotel in Copacabana is beautiful, great location on the beach and clean. The rooftop deck is a great view. Our room had an amazing view of the beach and appeared quite clean, though we sure did pay a lot to stay here. Overall I enjoyed my experience there. Now to my complaints. The front desk serviceman, Aldo, was extremely rude to us when we checked in. One person in our group tried to speak a little bit of spanish to the front desk, asking where the bathroom was. She did this because often most Brazilian's understand spanish a bit better than english. He went on for 5 minutes about how Americans come in and assume that Brazilian's speak Spanish and not Portuguese. He said it was as if someone just assumed that if you had blonde hair and blue eyes that you spoke German. I understand his message to some extent, but the way he said it was extremely inappropriate. Upon leaving for the airport the next day, I asked him if he could call us 2 taxis for the airport. His buddy whispered in his ear and then he said he could call a van for us instead of 2 taxis so we could all go in the same car. I asked how much it would cost and he said R$160. I said, wow... isnt that alot considering each taxi would only cost R$50 max. He gave me a nasty look and didnt even respond to my comment. Overall I would recommend the hotel but not Aldo. He does not like Americans and will not act in your benefit if you are traveling abroad in Rio.

“Great hotel and location in Rio”

We just stayed at Arena which was recommended to us by a friend. Great recommendation. The hotel is located in a great location across the street from the Copacabana Beach and right in the center of the action. The hotel reception was great in giving us recommendations for locations to visit, restaurants and tours. We had an amazing stay thanks to the recommendations of the hotel reception. A must in Rio is to visit Lapa to enjoy a night out listening to Samba at Rio Scenarium.
