The Place is old and need some renovations. The rooms are ok but the beds quite bad. one pool not super big but quite filthy . Only one bar with poor mix beverage, and bad service . The food at the buffet is not good and the labeling about allergies is often wrong . ( I m celiac and I ve been sick the first night ) Italian restaurant is good . Not a 4 star, barely a 3 . The beach is beautiful and when the weather is fine ( we had reg flag the 2 first days) the water is amazing

Personnels accueillant et chaleureux. L’air climatisée ne fonctionnait pas. Le drain dans la douche refoulait. La navette de l’aéroport a l’hôtel n’était incluse et il a fallu faire des démarches pour connaître les détails du fonctionnement alors que nous avions déjà payé notre transport aller-retour.

Le personnel sauf au restaurant sont arrogant et se fou carrément des clients en plus de rire des gens . Service non professionnel. J’ai subi un incident ou une branche de palmier m’est tomber sur la tête et j’ai demander pour le manager et lui ai dit que je me sentait pas bien à 2 reprises en 2 heures pour finir à partir en ambulance avec comotion cérébrale et je doit prolonger mon séjour m’ont offert aucune compensation zéro côté humain zéro. De plus c’est moi qui a du se présenter à la clinique sinon personne ce souciait de l’incident . Ne voulait pas payer non plus l’ambulance, l’incident s’est produit à leur piscine de leur resort ..

Bonjour, Malgré les efforts du personnel, les clients lors de notre séjour de 04 nuits ne respectaient pas les consignes sanitaires.Trop d'entre eux ne portent pas le masque dans le restaurant lorsqu'ils se déplacent pour le self-service et la même chose au bar... Problèmes d'humilité dans le bâtiment principal.. Merci au Staff, toujours disponible..

The staff is very friendly, the food is awful, the same music every single night, they have a (not smoking sign everywhere, but people ignore them, and nobody reinforce the rules, they need to take in consideration the nonsmoker people, to many flies everywhere specially flying around the food, the younger entertainers staff vaping the whole time. Signature restaurants serve the same food they serve on the buffet. Water sometimes came out dirty and cold, not hot water, Viva club manager, Luis very rude. We feel pressure to take the VIP offers they have.

Reasonable all inclusive resort at DR. Easy beach front access and other areas of interests in Puerto Plata. Dining options are limited and the food was not the best quality, especially the buffet service. Room was clean and the staff were very cooperative.

The staff carry the hotel. Security guard show me the parking space. Somebody took the luggages and took us to our room. We received call for picking up the luggages. The shows were impressive.

Viva Tangerine is one of the best all inclusive hotels in the area and for shure the best at Cabarette beach. Spent one week there. Family friendly. Hotel size is just about right, not too big, not too small and that makes every guest special. Hotel has a big pool just in front of the ocean. Bar is good. All kind of drinks in there. Good buffet and three a la carte restorants. If you stay for a week you can pick each of them. We tried two: Fusion and Mexican and they were good. Very fast service. Usually I dont like a la carte because of waiting time, but its not this case. Seems like hotel managment makes work right. All staff is very friendly. Etertainment team just grait converting hotel routine into adventure. For thouse who like to play volleyboll, the net and ball is in there at the beach. Hotel has water sport activities like kayaks, paddleboards, sail boat, diving senter. While hotel located at one the famous kite beaches in the world and you want to try that, many kite scools arround and one of them just around the corner. Within 5-10 min short walk from outside of hotel you'll find everything you need like supermarket, pharmacy or car rental with very reasonable prices. So you can rent a car and explore the area wich is way more nature compare to other side of the island. Withis in 100-150 mi around you'll find everything from beutiful uncrowded beaches to caves, waterfalls, lagunas and underground lakes. Will definitely come back some day.

Room was moldy, which is not good for a person with lung cancer, such as myself. The food was mediocre at best. Other resorts / hotels in Dominican Republic have much better food. Staff not so friendly. Restaurants that needed reservations were understaffed and seemed to rush people through their meals.

During my recent stay at Viva Tangerine, I experienced a mix of positives and negatives that I believe potential guests should be aware of. One of the notable issues I encountered was the behavior of some male staff members. While most of the staff were professional and courteous, there were instances where certain male staff members were overly friendly, especially towards women traveling alone. This eagerness to push themselves on guests was off-putting and, at times, unsettling. Another aspect that left much to be desired was the quality of the buffet food. While there were one or two meals that were passable, the overall quality was disappointing. Many guests, myself included, found the variety and taste lacking. Additionally, the rooms themselves were outdated, echoing the sentiments of other guests who had stayed there previously. However, one of the hotel's strengths is its convenient location within the town. The entertainment was really good and It’s 20min from the airport, so if your flight is delayed no rush! It's great to have the option to step out and explore the local food scene, especially since the hotel is situated in an area with several dining options within walking distance. Nonetheless, it's frustrating to pay for food outside the hotel when it's supposed to be included in the all-inclusive package. This discrepancy between expectation and reality regarding food costs can be a significant downside for budget-conscious travelers.

It wasn’t what I was expecting. From what we saw from pictures, it appeared like a more put together resort. The room had wallpaper peeling off the walls. One light worked in the room. We had to call maintenance to fix the issue. When the main light was being fixed, water poured out of the covering of the light and splatted on the floor. The ceiling paint was peeling and hanging from the ceiling due to the water damage of the AC. Definitely a more family friendly resort, if that’s not what you are looking for. Staff were very accommodating and were very intentive.

Before going to this property, I read the reviews and thought, it looks nice I think the reviewers were a little harsh, but I witnessed for myself that they weren’t. The best thing about this property is some of the staff. They were friendly and eager to help. The buffet can use an update. If you eat pork, you’ll be happy. I only eat chicken and fish, so breakfast was limited to carbs and fruits, lunch was ok, but if you were in line, staff members would cut the line in front of guests. Never have I seen that at ANY resort I’ve visited. The drinks were not well made , so if you’re a drinker, be prepared for long lines and small glasses lol. The doors are not properly sealed, so not only the light comes into the room from the hallway, but you can hear all the noise as well. No washcloth in my son’s room and when he called, it took them an hour to get them to him. Restaurants are very small, so getting a reservation is almost impossible because the people who have bought their version of timeshares, has priority over everyone else and they’re not embarrassed to say that to the guest either. If you’re a surfer or love water sports, this beach is for you. Water is very rough, so you can go in and get beat up by the water, or you can stay by the pool. Btw, no umbrellas at the pool. My opinion on this resort is that they cater only to the people that buy into their timeshare and not all there guests. I guess they don’t value the fact that we all paid to stay.
