Bonne MAIS la chambre n'est pas comfortable car, especiallement avec la chaleur ils mettent un edridon epaisse sur le lit, et le matin nous nous sommes trempes!

Heureusement qu'une seule nuit
Notre chambre était vraiment trop petite et avec un lit 140.La TV était fixée sur le mur de droite et n'était pas orientable, donc impossible de la regarder au lit et trop près depuis la chaise du bureau. Tout est à revoir de ce côté là. Cette chambre est vraiment minuscule et à la rigueur pourrait être louée en single MAIS PAS EN DOUBLE;

Dear Herve, Thank you for your feedback, I am pleased you found the location of the hotel excellent and the ground floor of a good standard. I am afraid we have recently had confirmation of our 2 pilot bedrooms being redecorated and refurbished next month, prior to the remaining bedrooms being done the end of this year / beginning of next. Excellent sejour d'une nuit pour sa categorie
Un tres bon endroit tres bien place au centre ville d'Oxford. La chambre etait tres agreable avec vue sur un tres beau batiment.

Idéal pour visiter Oxford à pied en quelques jours
Un hôtel avec du charme situé en plein cœur d'Oxford. Idéal pour découvrir à pied tous les sites touristiques de cette magnifique petite ville. L'hôtel est situé dans le centre ville qui est piéton, ce qui en fait un lieu très calme. En revanche il est très difficile de s'y garer à proximité et les tarifs de parking proposés par l'hôtel sont très chers. Les chambres sont assez spacieuses, confortables et avec le cachet des vieilles maisons british. Le petit déjeuner est de qualité et le personnel courtois.

tres bon hotel mais...
parking a 15 livres par nuit pour une chambre a 210 livres et internet au delà du raisonnable, pour un débit max a peine digne d'une connexion 512kbit, la chasse d'eau des toilettes de la chambre que nous occupions n'etait pas vraiment fonctionnelle, elle marchait quand elle le voulait bien.... Sinon chambre spacieuse et propre, écran plat, petit déjeuner très complet (nous sommes un couple de 28 ans)

L'hôtel est très bien situé en centre-ville. La chambre est très petite, mais propre et la salle de bain très spacieuse. Deux points négatifs importants qui justifient ma note générale: la chambre est très mal insonorisé (on entend tous les mouvements dans les chambres voisines et notamment dans celle d'au-dessus - heureusement que mes voisins ont été plutôt silencieux!); le lit est affreux! très petit, le matelas est très mou, l'oreiller pareil, bref, ce n'est pas du tout reposant.

Malgré une qualité d'accueil et de service assez bonne, l'hotel reste correct, sans plus. Pas d'ascenseur jusqu'au dernier niveau; chambre confortable mais dans un style un peu vieillot. Le petit déjeuner est parfait et la partie restaurant très bien. Il manque juste un coup de jeune.

Great central location, good beds and helpful staff. But our room was really hot. Air-conditioning didn’t work and windows only opened a tiny bit. They gave us a drinks voucher to apologise but we had plans to go out, so a refund would have been better. They also gave us a room fan but this didn’t balance upright and was noisy, so we had an uncomfortable sleep. Bedroom and bathroom were well kitted out but mould on bathroom ceiling and around old window frames needs looking at.

Within walking distance of central Oxford, this hotel is in a quiet area of the city and is reasonably priced given its location. While the room I had was a good size with a large bathroom, other rooms are smaller but have better views. I found the bed to be comfortable, but it may be too hard for some. The timed lights in the hallways and black-out curtains made for a lovely dark room at night. There was a wide choice of English and Continental breakfasts. The reception, cleaning, breakfast and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to others.

The property needs a general overhaul. Sad. Depressive. Dungeon vibe. Most Windows didn’t even open. Reception staff need retraining on customer service. It was just a sad overall experience in one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. Oxford deserves better… please please do it the justice it deserves…

Central location but so quiet!
Central location, everything within a few mins walk. Parking is an issue but actually, the car park we used was cheaper for 24hrs than the hotel would have been of they had space. The bar was empty when we returned after our theatre visit but we found someone to serve us. Room was great, really quiet, only problem was no hot water in the morning so couldn't shower. Glad we showered the night before! Hoping for this to be compensated as overall, we enjoyed our stay in Oxford.

Travelling back to Oxford for college business, initially found I was allocated a room on third floor, problematic as the lift does not go that high and I have arthritis making stairs difficult. Reception quickly sorted an alternative on the first which was so much easier for me. Thank you.

The hotel is okay but my room (108) was awful - it had a noisy air extraction system directly outside the window. I asked to be re-roomed but I was told that the extraction system shutdown at 9pm, as if that were acceptable. I was then gently vibrated away when the system started again each morning. The staff would not re-room me without me paying a £50 supplement. I won't be staying there again.

Nice place to stay. Room was nice with good space to sit and nice bathroom. Staff courteous. Very nice lobby with comfortable chairs to sit and have a drink and read. Convenient to High Street, right next to Merton College, Magdalen College, and short walk to Radcliffe Camera.

Lovely room and super friendly staff
We stayed in an absolutely beautiful room. It was very large too, which was great as we had to get changed for a black tie event. The room was clean and modern and the staff were wonderful. Delicious full English breakfast too. Great central location. There was a problem with the plumbing in our room on arrival but they offered us an upgraded room, although this was also lovely it was much smaller. So, we asked to stay in the room if they could fix the water problem, which they did very quickly and we stayed in our initial room. Highly recommended. A great stay. Thank you! Peter and Landon

Tired hotel and overpriced
We did get upgraded free of extra charge on arrival. The room was comfortable but the price for one night without breakfast extremely high nonetheless. The hotel itself looks tired in corridors and the bar area.

Ruined by poor customer service
OK stay ruined by poor customer service. I accidentally left a remote control at the hotel and despite a simple request to pop it in the post, the hotel declined to do that one simple thing. I won’t be staying again.

Poor service
I had booked dinner, the receptionist told us on booking in I had not. The service was terrible from beginning to end, options were not available the menu, the wine waiter dumped our wine down, told us there was no Chardonnay when it was on the wine list. Our plates were collected badly, we were asked our room number three times and the entire dining and breakfast felt shambolic.
