When we arrived there was no one at the check-in desk, took them ten minutes to respond and then assist us. When we got the room key we went to find our room and after walking the entire building we went back to the front desk and then they told us we had to access our room from the outside of the building. When we entered the room it was a queen, not a king as we had booked and the curtain from the bottom up did not hang all the way down to the floor so if someone walked by outside and looked under the curtain they could see into the room. The nightstand drawer was also broken. We then called and asked to move rooms inside the building because we did not feel safe. The hot tub was broken and was even colder than the pool itself. Also, there were no towels provided in the pool area. The next day they came around and asked us a half hour before the checkout time if we wanted to book another night almost feeling rushed to leave. Overall it was a terrible experience.

We had rooms that were right off the pool. It was very nice having dinner with our whole family right there poolside. It is very convenient as the kids swam , we played games and had a great time. It was well worth it.

The lighting and hallways were a bit creepy. All the unmade rooms did not do much for the brand name. Made us feel unsafe.

Worst hotel ever
I be using hotels.com for a long time and this is the worst hotel I ever stayed no front desk you have to wail for them the breakfast in the morning was a joke the bread was all bad already

I cane here to this hotel many time hoping i can enjoy the service i booked that have a hot tube but every time i cane here is closed because of aome people booked it or only open until 10 pm or sunday is closed , and today the receptionist told me is closed because nobody is using it, i book this hotel for the hot tube and i don’t get what i paid for .

I would say the TV not working was the worst part, but their customer service is worse than that. They don’t pick up their phone which we needed them to do when my boyfriend lost his retainer. Instead of promptly sending it to him they demanded he send them a prepaid envelope in order to send it. He opted to drive the full hours there and back as he needed it immediately. Trust me when I say that if you stay here please make sure you have everything before you leave.

I understand that you get what you pay for, but even on a budget, and even for Michigan City, this was an awful experience, from the cigarette-reeking room to the filthy common areas. Avoid literally at all costs.

The room was dirty. The shower stopper wouldn't stay open. The hair dryer was missing. I tried to call the front desk 3 times about these problems - but no one answered.

For starters, the property was very run down, poor maintenance and dirty. The curtains looked like they haven't been changed in years. The beds had bed bugs! The pool was dirty and had black stuff in it. In addition, there were cracked high out of their mind chilling right outside of the hotel. After two hours, I checked out! I demand some reimbursement for that bad experience. I'm not a high standard person; I don't expect luxury, however, it's completely unacceptable and disgusting to have a room invested with bed bugs and have crackheads just chilling doped out of there mind.

This should have been a nice place to stay. It was very dirty every where. The place had the lights turned off, the associated restaurant was closed, the pool area had not been picked up, the hair dryer was dangling on a screw, the toilet paper holder was missing. So-so at best, but good night's sleep
Just adequate overall. The pillows were wonderful. Brand new, I think. But the rest was so-so at best. Room looking onto the swimming pool. The curtains wouldn't stay closed. I would have been very exposed had I not had a carabiner on my keychain that could keep the curtains together. Much needs repairs. You get what you paid for. I slept well. The sheets were clean, but had a couple of holes. But, it was all I needed for the night. Scanty breakfast.

I was traveling from Boston to California fo Job relocation. I drove my car and it was a journey. I stay in New York on Friday night because it was a Labor Day weekend. Saturday I drove about 11 hours until I got the Michigan. I stopped and I booked a Ramada Inn Hotel to stay for the night and keep going the next day. I pay $160 through Expédia online and I believe Expedia should refund me back my money and I going to say why. I stay all night long and I couldn’t sleep until the morning because of bedbugs. They ate me a live for the night. I took pictures and I showed them to the front desk and the poor lady on the front desk was sympathize with me but she said there is nothing she can do. I believe this should close period. I am going to do everything I can to make sure other people are aware of this place through the social media so they don’t have to experience a situation like mine.

Don't book here.
After a lengthy check in, we walked through what looked like a very dated and abandoned hotel. Most of the lights were off and it wasn't even past 8pm. Very dirty, dead bug littering the floor in areas. We immediately checked out and went to a different hotel 10min away.

Pool area was dark & said closed. Hot tub was down. Dark building. Breakfast was extremely limited. Restaurant was closed. No fitness center. Closed. No hair dryer. No phone or clock. Table & TV were dirty. Hallway floor was dirty & smelled bad. Fridge/bed/microwave was nice. Push mower in hallway. Fire extinguisher missing. Poor Wi-Fi. No room service anywhere for days. It was like a ghost town. Very displeased. Would not recommend. Not as advertised.

The property is very much outdated, blinds in our room were broken, the room was being powered by two extension cords, one underneath the tv and the other behind the bed making it almost impossible to charge our phones. Our neighbors were fighting loud at the latest hour or the morning.
