Un lieu exceptionnel!
Hotel façe à la mer, installé sur des petites falaises, vue mer depuis la chambre dans des bungalows avec terrasse et transat. Un lieu fantastique! Accueil très sympathique, bon resto et carte des boissons vraiment pas chère.

What an amazing experience - Tensing Pen!
Tensing Pen was by far one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at. The staff and team at the resort were friendly and personal. I went for my birthday and they all wished me warm wishes on the day. They went out of their way to make us feel like valued guests, something you don’t experience at a large resort. Their accommodations are wonderful and the location is a dream. From check in, to dinner to hanging out by the pool at the resort, truly an experience we will never forget. The Tensing Pen resort is the best out there.

I loved everything about Tensing. It took me 3 weeks to find this place. The hotel staffs were excellent including our driver Tony. My hubby and I had a wonderful time and the scenery is so beautiful. Thanks guyssss !!!! Def gonna recommend you guys to our friends and family

Enjoyed every part of this resort. Quiet, intimate, great food, beautiful grounds, amazing cliffs, no beach beggars, friendly staff, 3 beautiful dogs on site, snorkeling and bridge jumping! Just a great experience and I will definitely go back and recommend. If you are looking for a crazy drunken party scene you won’t find it here. If you want cheap all inclusive food you won’t find it here. This is a place to unwind and relax. Perfect for what we wanted.

The check in, the staff, the premises were all amazing. I wish I stayed here for the entire trip but everyone suggested that I split the trip between the cliffs and the beach. Truth be told, when I booked, they only had one night available. It was worth it. My god what a beautiful place! The views, the food and the staff. I experienced some homophobia in Negril but not at Tensing Pen. So thank you! I will definitely be returning!

Spectacular Views
We typically stay on the beach when we visit Jamaica but I decided to try something new so we stayed West End side of Negril instead of 7 mile beach. It was my husband birthday celebration and we were NOT disappointed. We loved it!! The views were out of this world spectacular. The grounds were quiet and tranquil and full of trees and flowers. Our ocean view room was breathtaking. We watched the sunset from our balcony. We had trees surrounding our balcony so it felt like we were on a private island. Some additional details beds were super comfortable I personally hated the pillows because they were soft instead of firm. There was no TV in the room but we didn’t care. We wanted to relax. Bathroom was very spacious but water pressure not so great. My only complaint is against the food. I wasn’t impressed and to be fair my husband is a chef so my palette and standard is VERY high. I thought food was a bit overcooked for my personal taste. Otherwise staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely return. Bonus this location is walking distance to the famous Rick’s Cafe.

An absolutely amazing property with attentive caring staff. This is my second trip to Negril and my first visit at this property and it will be where I return in the future. You are made to feel like family. You are close enough to 7-mile beach to get there via a short taxi ride, can walk to Rick's, and yet it feels isolated, peaceful, and quiet. Just perfect.

love it
we stayed here 3 days and left for our other resort...only to return 3 more times to tensing Pen to enjoy the property. They were so accomodating. This place has an amazing feel for it and never dissapointed us.

Safely Cliff Jump and Snorkel in Paradise
AMAZING! You can't beat the natural beauty of these cliffs! Stay right on the water in a private bungalow among the trees and listen to the waves crashing into the cliffs, lulling you into sleep. Safely jump from these cliffs into crystal clear, warm Caribbean waters and snorkel with beautiful tropical fish. You're gonna love this unique boutique hotel that gives you unobstructed west-facing views of the sunset. Romantic, quiet, secluded, paradise.

What can I say about this awesome hotel that other reviews haven't already said? Incredible service all around. Special thanks to Niney for the nature walk/tour and all of the great tips he gave us about native vegetation whenever we saw him. Great food at the on-site restaurant. Great service from the bar. Impeccable grounds. We stayed in the lowest priced garden view room which was awesome but wasn't very private as there was a walk-way right in front and we had to leave the shades/slats on the windows closed at all times. I highly suggest spending the extra $25 or so a night for an upgrade garden room which also have larger balconies and provide a bit more privacy. There are a few restaraunt options within walking distance including the famous Rick's Cafe. If you want a beach experience, it's a cab ride away to get to the beach for more restaraunt and shopping options. I'd suggest that if you have an extended vacation planned, spend 2-3 nights at a place on the 7 mile beach and wrap up with a week at Tensing Pen. Be aware that there are two large "house dogs", Tensing and Beezy, that roam the hotel freely but they are gentle and want to be everyone's friend. I just mention in case there are folks afraid of dogs that should be aware. We will definitely be back!

The staff is exceptionally solicitous and welcoming. The grounds are idyllic and even the resident canines (Tensing and Beezy), two Rhodesian Ridgebacks are super friendly. I can't recommend this resort highly enough. My second time there, but not my last.

It’s really a great resort to spend a few days or a couple of weeks. The location, the ocean from the cliffs, food and views are all fantastic. Somehow almost nobody swims in the ocean, so it feels like a private resort :)

I spent a day/ night at this charming and unique boutique hotel. The accommodations consist of separate cottages set on a windswept cliff with a fabulous restaurant and small infinity pool. There are several gazebos, hammocks and seating areas positioned to give excellent views of the sea and sky. The entire vibe is laid back and the staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are beautifully furnished and always within earshot of the pounding surf. Two points to note. This is an adult hotel in that the stairs and facilities are not set for young kids and although there is access to the sea, sea bathing would be very risky. Aside from that it is a safe, relaxing and perfect get away location.

The staff was very friendly and the property gorgeous and unique. For us perfect. If you are looking to be entertained by others this is not the place for you. It is a pretty quiet and relaxing place. Our only complaint was that the room is quite dark at night even worth the bedside tables on so if you want to read an actual book or newspaper it is a bit of a struggle to see it!

Tensing Pen is on the cliffs of Negril. The sea is at your door and its sound is all over. Guests are in individual houses --- all with balconies most overlooking the sea. It is small, intimate, lovely, quiet and many guests have been returning for years. Staff is friendly - this is boutique and intimate, but not elegant or stiff. This is not a cookie cutter place. It is lovely.

The service was personalized and top notch... the complimentary beer stocked in the mini fridge in your room was a great and nice touch.

This place is awesome. You can jump off the cliffs and bridge and our room was like a tree house. Not your typical resort, by far. The locals at the bars across the street were fun, definitely had a great time there too. And Beezy is the best dog. Reminded me of my big pup back home. She was our tour guide when we got to the resort and slept in our room every night. She was always close by. Rick’s is about a 5 minute walk. Everything and everyone was perfect. The only thing I’d caution others about is our room did not have air conditioning, which was ok the first day and night but kinda irritating the next night when it was hotter and more humid. Beezy still didn’t mind though! We hope to visit again soon!

Dear Jessie, Thank you for your kind words about Tensing Pen, it was our pleasure having you with us. All our rooms have A/C except the Pillars treehouses. They only offer ceiling fan, standing fans and breeze from the screened in windows. We are glad to announce that these units will soon be remodeled to include A/C. Hope you give the Pillars another try next year, once the AC are in. Meanwhile Beezy was happy to have such loving friends to show around :)

Extraordinarily beautiful and natural setting Warm fun friendly staff Nice pool and gorgeous ocean swimming Great food ZERO nightlife down the west end! This romantic excape should not allow children then it would be perfect.

The staff is amazing! Shernette and Razor along with the office staff they were all fantastic. The room we checked into had a strong odor of smoke, after making staff aware we were moved to a new room. Tending Pen is lovely, however it is a little dated and could use some updates, but it wouldn’t keep us from staying there again.
