Globalement notre séjour au Vander Hôtel s’est bien passé. Mais nous avons eu beaucoup de déceptions : la salle de bain est très mal organisée et les toilettes sont visibles depuis la chambre (aucune intimité), la chambre n’est pas vraiment calme (on entend les voisins), la chambre est assez petite et le petit déjeuner était assez décevant : déjà ce n’est pas un buffet comme indiqué dans la réservation, la qualité n’est pas si incroyable que le décrivent les commentaires que j’ai pu lire, service extrêmement lent et personnel pas très aimable. Par contre un super choix. La piscine sur le rooftop de l’hôtel est très agréable. La literie est confortable.

Great hotel, really well located
I would highly recommend you to book this hotel for several reasons; Location, Comfort of the rooms, the perfect(professional, kind, helpful) staff, the breakfast/dinner and the great swimming pool. If I have to come back to Ljubljana, I will certainly book this hotel again :)

Original et vraiment sympa
L'hotel ainsi que le restaurant à été une super découverte. Le personnel très à l'écoute. Le systèmes des minibus électriques, qui desservent les hôtels sur demande, compense le fait du parking en dehors de la zone piétonne à quelque 300-500m. J'ai juste eu le malchance de tomber pendant une période où ils ont eu un soucis de chaudière, et donc pas eu d'eau chaude pendant une soirée. Sinon, vraiment un endroit sympa, avec une terrasse sur le toit,vraiment géniale. A faire absolument.

Super hôtel très bien situé. Nous avons été gênés par le bruit; beaucoup de bars dans la rue et impossible de dormir la fenêtre ouverte. La paroi en verre transparente entre la chambre et la salle de bains force à une certaine intimité... La piscine est magnifique.

Très bel hôtel situé en plein coeur de la vieille ville.Il est utile de savoir que la réception peut arranger un service de navette pour le transport des hôtes et des baggages.

Fabulous stay!
Very nice hotel, in the heart of old town! Close to shops, bars, restaurants and other amenities. Room was very comfortable, large with a fantastic view! Breakfast was amazing! Fantastic choice of dishes to choose from. The hotel doesn’t do buffet style breakfast, but if you book your room with breakfast you get a choice of two dishes from the menu plus an assortment of pastries - fantastic food and very generous portions! The hotel staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel!

Ottima la pozione dell'hotel e ottima la colazione con possibilità di scegliere alla carta. Mi aspettavo un po' di più dalla stanza in quanto le dimensioni erano ridotte per due persone con bagagli. Bagno cieco senza aspirazione, asciugamani e tende presentavano degli strappi e lo scarico della doccia era maleodorante. Buono nel complesso ma mi aspettavo qualcosa in più dalla camera.

The room was full of furniture so it seemed crowded. The design was out dated and carpets worn. The ventilation system runs constantly so it is a little noisy. It was a little overpriced due to the location. The staff was very very helpful kind and responsive.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is located on a walking street so the logistics were a bit complicated, but we received a lot of eager assistance. It was a great location!

Great staff, outstanding breakfast. Walkable to most everything. Our room was quiet and clean. If you’re staying with someone you might find that you wished there was more privacy in the bathroom, there’s a curtain and glass door with no fan.

A little tired and in need of a refurb, great food
Boutique hotel in the centre of Ljubjlana. The location was great as was the food at breakfast, and the service in the restaurant, and they did a nice breakfast dessert for my partner's birthday. However, I was a bit disappointed with the rooms and the standard. It feels that it is in need of an update, the towels were past their best and the bath mat had threads hanging off it. The curtain was hanging off in the room, and there was no fridge in the cupboard in our room. It was clean, but felt tired. The shower made a noise when using the main shower head which could have done with replacing, the smaller one was fine. Bathrobes in the room didn't have a cord to tie it closed. The upstairs pool is great albeit small (which was expected) but there were two towels there when we got up there, one of which was damp. The one sun lounger has seen better days. It was therefore disappointing from what we expected, but overall clean and not too expensive. With a little tlc, it could be lovely.

An open-air bath room hotel
Upon reservation I wrote to the hotel and explicitly underlined that I wanted a room with a solid door to the bathroom. At check-in we were then given a room without any door to the bathroom.. I complained, but were told that the reception probably not had read my message. I asked for a refund so we could move to another hotel, but were told that was not possible. I called hotels.com and were told that it was up to me to check that the hotel had reacted to by message... The hotel is situated in a no-car zone, so we had to push our luggage through the city for 10 min. from the drop off place. The hotel only starts the breakfast service from 08.00. We asked for a cup of coffee one morning at 07.55, when we had to leave early, but were told that was not possible. 5 min. - a cup of coffee - A 4-star hotel...(we could smell the coffee from the machine behind the waiter). The towels were every day alle torn and in threads. The beed sheet was never changed during a 4 days visit.

Dear Martin, thank you for taking your time to write the review of your stay with us.It is true that you have specifically requested a room with a solid door, but when you were making the reservation it was clearly seen what kind of a room you have booked. It is this exact room from the pictures that was assigned to your reservation. As it was not a fault from our end, but lack of due dilligence on your end, you were not entitled to a refund. The same goes for the hotel, being located right in the HEART of the historical city centre, meaning we cannot be reached by a car (we have this piece of information posted as well).Even though, we always do our best to resolve any kind of issues that our guests might experience and if we have the capabilities to resolve the issue. But lack of planning on your end does not constitute an emergency on our end.We hope you have atleast enjoyed Ljubljana as a city and every other beauty Slovenia has to offer.Kind regards

Hotel is located literally in the centre of town so it's massively convenient for all city attractions. Room was very clean although the hotel wi-fi strength didn't reach the room which given it was only the 2nd floor (room 26) was a disappointment given a) this is a 4 star hotel and b) its nearly a given to have in modern times. Air-con in room was good and the noise from the street was excellently blocked out by triple glazed windows (couldn't hear a thing!). Bed was great, breakfast was really good, staff overall friendly although seemed a tad bored(!) at times ... overall I would recommend this hotel.

Perfect location for weekend in the city center.

Perfekt beliggenhet i gamlebyen for turister. Fantastisk meny frokost fra kl 0800-1400. Hotellet har ok rom, god seng, div tv kanaler.

Posizione perfetta, struttura bella e camera accogliente e spaziosa. Servizio deludente (è stato necessario sollecitare più volte per rifare la camera), colazione abbondante ma servizio molto migliorabile per una struttura 4 stelle.
