The lady on reception was lovely & approachable. I was upgraded without asking to a bigger room, which was a nice surprise. The hotel is very dated, yet quirky, central, clean & offers lots of facilities. I was on a working trip and offered all I needed. Would return.

Cheap and cheerful - great for a weekend stay for a shopping, as it's super conveniently located right in the town centre. Free parking is a nice touch, unusual for centrally located hotel. You get what you pay for - in terms of facilities and staff service.

If you dont like noise AVOID karaoke was going off in a bar until around 3.30am very loud, Room was nice and spacious but needed a good clean, you can tell this isnt a hotel priority and as a guest i expect clean bedding and furniture.

Farhad was amazing and went above and beyond to look after us. Bed was very comfy and a lot of amenities for the price of the room! We really enjoyed our stay

We have stayed befor and are happy to come again the only problem was we had no heating for the 2 nights and got told the heating was on only offered to move us at 8.30 on Saturday night when it was to late as we where checking out on sunday mornings

Proprty was nice the only thing was when we came back to room at 5 o'clock the heating was on and room was extremely hot no way to turn radiator down so went to reception they said it will go off in an hour so when we come back on the night it will be fine when we got back at 1145 on night the room was even hotter than before went to reception again and was told to open window i said im not opening window it wont make no difference then night reception said they have turned heating off but room was still red hot after 20 mins of arguing with reception they finally gave us another room which was better

Clear lack of maintenance for a considerable time. Noisy because window would not shut properly, Drawers broken, wardrobe broken, no hot water, mould. No room service through stay, no replenishment of coffee , or tea- only 2 sachets given for 2 people over 2 days. Not worth the money.

This visit the hotel provided heir own Scarisbrick hotel custom boxed shortbread. THEY ALLOWED AN EARLY BOOK IN AND COULDNT BE MORE HELPFUL. CONCESSIONARY FRIUT AND MINCE PIES WERE ALSO MADE AVAILABLE. This hotel is always good value for money, with helpful friendly staff. The internet access however is a challenge, access varies which is a pity.

ROOMS ARE ROOMY, ON-SUITE, FLAT SCREEN TV, THE STAFF ARE VERY HELPFUL. THE ACCOMMODATION IS VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. THEY HAVE ALLOWED US TO BOOK IN EARLY ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS. INTERNET IS A CHALLENGE, A PREMIUM ADDITIONAL COST OPTION AVAILABLE. A LOT OF IN HOUSE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT LATE NIGHT AND LOCAL TO THIS LOCATION.

Scarisbrick one night solo
Very good value for money. Room comfortable enough. Tea and coffee making facility. Would stay again. Only downsides, but no deal breaker, were 1. workman had left his tools in the room and tried to enter the room repeatedly while I was in the bathroom, 2. Internet: my mobile data wouldn't work in the room 👎, free internet only in the hotels' corridors, it costs £7 to buy internet access. 3. When I got in at 1am the next morning, there was a night porter, which was good. But, the hotel houses a pub that had Karaoke blasting until 3am, as it's Christmas I guess, not ideal if you're a light sleeper.

The room was advertised as coming with free wifi, but when I attempted to connect, it asked me to pay. My room was next to a function room, & I went to sleep listening to the sounds of a disco: famous pop songs all retimed to 120 beats per minute.

EVERY ROOM IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT, A LOT OF REFURBISHMENT IS EVIDENT AND THE ROOMS ARE RELATIVELY SPACIOUS, PARTICULARLY THE TWIN BED FORMAT. WE HAVE STAYED HERE A NUMBER OF TIMES NOW. THE STAFF ARE VERY HELPFUL AND THE FRONT DESK IS ALWAYS STAFFED. ITS A NICE TOUCH EVERY ROOM HAS AN IRON AND IRONING BOARD. THE COST IS ALWAYS VERY COMPETITIVE AND GOOD VALUE. BOOKING VIA EXPEDIA CONSISTENTLY PROVIDES US WITH THE BEST PRICE FOR THIS HOTEL. THERE HAS BEEN SOME ONGOING MAINTENANCE ISSUES WITH THE MAIN LIFT BUT THERE IS AN AVAILABLE SERVICE LIFT TO USE.

BEAUTIFUL SPACIOUS ROOM, RECENTLY RENOVATED. WE EXTENDED OUR VISIT GETTING A GREAT DEAL FROM EXPEDIA, GOOD VALUE FOR THE COST. AVAILABLE PARKING IS OVERSUBSCRIBED SO CHALLENGING. SUBSCRIPTION STREET PARKING IS ACTUALLY FREE BETWEEN 6PM AND 8 AM, 11 AM ON SUNDAY. CHARGING FOR INTERNET ACCESS IN ROOMS [£7/DAY]. ALLEGEDLY FREE IN COMMUNAL AREAS SEEMS INCREDIBLY MEAN. WE EXTENDED OUR STAY EVENTUALLY BUT IT TOOK ME WELL OVER AN HOUR AND TWO SEPARATE ATTEMPTS TO GET THE INTERNET TO WORK, I HAD TO USE MY MYFI DEVICE. EVEN THE BUSES ARE ADVERTISING FREE INTERNET ACCESS ONBOARD DURING JOURNEYS, TO PUT THIS PRACTICE IN PROSPECTIVE. .

WE EXTENDED OUR STAY, THE PRICE WAS COMPETITIVE AND THE ROOM NICE, ROOMY AND CLEAN. WE WERE ALLOWED TO CHANGE OUR ORIGINAL ROOM WAS ON THE 3RD FLOOR, TO THE FIRST FLOOR AT BOOK IN, AS THE LIFT WAS BROKEN FOR THE DURATION OF OUR STAY. IT WAS A TWIN NOT DOUBLE AS BOOKED, WE FOUND OUT ENTERING THE ROOM! THERE A NUMBER OF LATE NIGHT LIVE MUSIC CLUBS AROUND THE SCARISBRICK. THE MUSIC WAS THUMPING AWAY TO 3 IN THE MORNING. THE ROOM WINDOWS ARE TWICE DOUBLE GLAZED. THIS HOTEL IS MORE IDEAL FOR THOSE SEEKING A NIGHT LIFE EXPERIENCE THAN A QUIET STOP OVER. ROOMS HIGHER ARE PROBABLY QUIETER, IT WOULD HELP IF THE LIFT WORKED, ITS SMALL AND A BIT OF A NIGHTMARE WHEN WORKING, SMALL AND THE MORNING OF CHECK OUT OFTEN FULL OF CLEANERS AND THEIR LINEN TROLLIES OR GUESTS WITH BAGGAGE GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION YOU WANT TO GO. TRAVEL LIGHT AND PLAN AHEAD. AVAILABLE PARKING IS OVERSUBSCRIBED AND A LOTTERY. THE BATHROOM HAD BEEN RECENTLY RENOVATED, AN IRON AND IRONING BOARD WAS IN THE ROOM.

LARGE TRADITIONAL HOTEL IN THE CENTRE OF SOUTHPORT. LARGE ROOM RECENTLY RENOVATED, VIRTUALLY NEW BATHROOM, THEY SEEM TO BE MAKING A REAL EFFORT TO UPGRADE BUT AVAILABLE AT A VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE. WE WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN USING THEM AGAIN. THERE IS EVEN AN IRON AND IRONING BOARD IN THE ROOM.

EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, CONSISTANTLY OFFERING THE BEST PRICE IN SOUTHPORT ON THE SEARCH ENGINE WEBSITES. OUR ROOM HAD RECENTLY BEEN GIVEN A BRAND NEW ON SUITE BATHROOM. IT EVEN HAD AN IRON, IRONING BOARD AND HAIR DRIER IN THE ROOM. THE HOTEL IS RIGHT ON LORD STREET IN THE CENTRE OF SOUTHPORT. THERE IS CAR PARKING BEHIND THE HOTEL, FIRST COME FIRST SERVED, ITS TIGHT. WE LOST OUR PLACE WHEN WE WENT OUT AGAIN IN THE CAR, BUT RESTRICTED STREET PARKING IS ONLY OPERATING BETWEEN 8AM AND 6PM. 20 MINUTES WALK AWAY WE FOUND UNRESTRICTED ALL DAY STREET PARKING OUTSIDE OF THE RESTRICTED PARKING ZONES WHICH SUITED US. WE WOULD DEFINATELY USE THEM AGAIN.

Nice but needs work.
Kettle had a big whole in the bottom. Wardrobe door hanging off the hinges, bedroom door had to be slammed to stay shut. Bathroom was newly upgraded, very nice. Comfortable bed. Nice quiet room. Bars shut at 10.30pm.

Terrible
The room we were allocated was extremely hot. There was no windows in our room and must have been situated above all the pipes. It was too hot to even sit in the room. There was no other room offered when i spoke to reception. They gave us an extra fan which was pointless as it was just hot air blowing. Totally unacceptable to expect anyone to in this room.
