Hotel +pour commencer/terminer un séjour en Écosse
Hôtel agréable et confortable. Propreté impeccable. Situé près de l’aéroport de Glasgow. Nous l’avons pris après 15 jours de roadtrip pour checker plus facilement nos affaires et bien se reposer avant de reprendre l’avion. Desserte en bus mais pas du tout optimale, nous avons pris un taxi à 5mn pour rejoindre l’aeroport. Très excentré du centre ville, cet hôtel n’est pas une bonne option pour visiter Glasgow. Aucune attraction à proximité. A réserver donc plus spécialement Pour se reposer avant ou après un vol en avion.

Pratique
A 15 minutes de l'aéroport, chambre très propre et très confortable, le reste de l'hotel est vieillot mais propre. Petit déjeuner complet, juste trop salé. Service pas très accueillant mais efficace. Je recommande malgré les autres avis. Mais attention rien autour. Et wifi que dans le hall.

hotel déprimant, ressemblant à un Hôpital, éloigné de tout commerce ou restaurant, proche d'une banlieue sans commodités: ses seuls avantages sont d'être près de l'aéroport et de l'autoroute. Accueil froid et impersonnel. restaurant fermé et heureusement une supérette à 1km pour s'acheter un sandwich.

Un bon compromis...
Devant prendre un avion à l'aéroport de Glasgow le matin de bonne heure, j'ai choisi cet hôtel pour sa proximité avec lui. C'est en effet fort pratique car on y est en à peine 15 minutes de voiture. Pour le cadre c'est autre chose ! Un peu perdu dans la verdure ce bâtiment post-moderne fait un peu soviétique. Cela dit l'intérieur est correct, la réception très sympa et le décor du hall plutôt chaleureux. Un bar et un restaurant accompagnent l'ensemble. Les chambres sont tout à fait correctes bien qu'un peu vieillottes également. La salle de bain est très bien avec d'excellentes serviettes de toilette. La baignoire et son horrible rideau qui flotte et qui colle gagnerait à être remplacée par une bonne douche mais l'eau coule fort et chaude. En résumé, c'est plus que correct pour une soirée-étape et le prix est plutôt compétitif pour l'Écosse.

Complete Shambles
Stayed at this hotel for one night after returning from a holiday. I’ll start off by saying, the staff who were actually there were amazing, and totally blameless. However, this hotel is abysmal. We arrived just as 2 busloads of French tourists were checking in. The poor receptionist was run off her feet, but stopped what she was doing to help us. She explained that the hotel was closing the following Wednesday for refurbishment and the staff had been told that they were losing their jobs. As a result they had walked out, or hadn’t come in for their shift, leaving a handful to run the hotel. She was having to turn people away as they were overbooked, there was an 18th birthday party on that evening, and both the lifts weren’t working. We were told that we could use the service lift to access the upper floors, thus avoiding the 12 flights of fire escape stairs ! This involved being led through the bowels of the hotel, showing views of obscene graffiti left by disgruntled ex-employees, to a rickety lift which probably should have been condemned in the mid eighties. The room was surprisingly good, apart from the bathroom, which was old, grimy and stained. And the TV hanging off the wall. And the dust. And the missing Remote. The manager was the only member of staff left come morning, so I take my hat off to him as he carted 87 bags up and down the fire escape for the tourists Muthu are a disgrace allowing the hotel to remain open

It was terrible. all lifts were out of service. We (an elderly couple} were required to walk up and down 6+ flights of cement fire escape stairs., Had to run around finding staff to help with carrying luggage. It was also a party night at the hotel with guest talking loudly until the wee hours of the morning. Will never stay here again.

There was litter in the car park - not a good introduction. The lift was out of order and the stairways were dirty. Disabled friend had to be taken in the service lift and getting to it was a nightmare. There were no instructions about in the event of fire and i dread to think... The bedroom was clean.

After having an email that said "sorry you have cancelled your stay", I called to confirm I hadn't cancelled and was asured they had made a mistake and I was booked in. On arrival 2 days later I was told I had cancelled and they had no other rooms available. Last time I will book with this shower.

Could be better
Although not awful, things were not ideal. Room although recently renovated was slightly rough around the edges, breakfast wasn't available until about 15 mins after it was meant to open and wasn't the best quality. Beds were comfy though and nice and quiet so slept well and well situated for a lovely evening walk along the river.

Great weekend stay
We had a lovely weekend, the rooms were clean and comfy the rest of the hotel was dated but clean and is undergoing a referb, the food was very nice we paid for B&B but had our evening meals there as well no complaints everything we had was really lovely. The staff were great very friendly and helpful even through the hotel was really busy being a disabled guest I couldn't fault the staff and the accessibility was excellent

Location is great. Door cant be locked, bath in a disgusting state, the tv looks ready to fall off the wall and having to listen to someone strimming grass for 2 hours (4:15 - 6:30) without safety gear on, quite obvious they didnt know how to use it and with music headphones on which is dangerous not to mention not legal in the work envioroment.

The hotel is very dated, the seating area in the bar was stained beyond belief. The room we stayed in had been upgraded, which was nice but the ensuite hadn't been and the bath was stained and dated probably from the 90s,. I understand they are in the middle of upgrading the hotel but surely if you do a room you should do the ensuite at same time. The room was clean and tidy apart from surface dust probably from the renovation works,. The food and drinks where good and the staff were friendly and pleasant. Especially Amy in the restaurant. We would probably stay again.

This hotel was honestly disgusting. The pool lights had electrical wires hanging out of them with the lights flickering under the water. The hot tub was cordoned off and there was not a spot of the area that wasn’t covered in mold. The family hotel room was dirty and the beds were uncomfortable, stained and ancient. The bathroom was covered in someone’s body hair, and once again there was mild everywhere. One lift was out of order while the other one was slow to the point of scary. The breakfast I paid for was not available because the chef never arrived to make it, and I wasn’t offered any money back. I will say that the staff were lovely polite people though.

Hotel is somewhat tired in places but is being renovated - room was ok bed comfy and linen fresh and plenty towels provided. Room could use a revamp, quite grubby looking and hall ways are particularly scruffy. Only 1 lift working. There is easy parking though and staff are nice and breakfast was fine. Location is nice and quiet.

Has clearly undergone a recent takeover and has had some maintenance work done however still a long way to go! Location is great and the hotel has potential to be really something special - please ditch the poor paint colour choices in some of the corridors

Staff pleasant and welcoming. Food lovely. Everything else bad. Lifts not working. Stair case is a service area. brick work and service values of some kind. Room: Cobwebs behind curtains. Side tables scratched, walls full of holes from pervious fixtures and fitting. Bedding stained. Someone opened my door at 9am, went to come in for no reason. Cleaning staff no uniform. Could have been anyone, had it not for me seeing them with a hoover and bedding and towels. Couldn't take pics of leisure area. Now chance going back. Leisure facilities. 1 toilet out of 2. has no light, hole where it should be. Handle hanging off door to go into swimming pool. Bottom of the door is rooting away. Not allowed to use Jacuzzi. Was there for a spa day etc.

This pla e is very run down needs money spent on it badly .staff were very ignorant and didnt really care our check out wasnt until 11am but cleaners came into room at 09 45 saying they need to clean room .breakfast was all dryed up been sitting a while tea was cold and staff members helping themselves which i thot very unproffesional .the only good thing was the pool very warm and nice but changing rooms a disgrace and filthy .

Ok but tired
I believe the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment - it needs it!. The public areas are ok but very dated and tired e.g. the floor indicators on the lifts don't work. My double room was ok in size and nice and warm but there were no sockets near the bed for plugging in a phone charger or laptop and the socket above the desk moved away from the wall when removing plugs. The bed, although clean was hard and pillows like bricks. The en-suite bathroom had an over-bath shower that worked but flow was restricted as probably bunged up with deposits over time. The shower curtain had that smell they get when not dried or washed properly and there was mold around the edges. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and service very good, so hopefully, after a full refurb this hotel will be much improved. Probably wouldn't stay there again till it's finished.

The hotel was adequate for our overnight stay. It was clean enough and the staff were nice. Overall it it looking tired but I understand that the new management plan to upgrade. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that.
