Très bel hôtel, très bien situé
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel bien que nous avons trouvé la chambre un peu bruyante. Au niveau de la disponibilité du staff, j'ai personnellement trouvé ça un peu en dessous. Pas facile d'avoir la réception et beaucoup d'attente pour le check-in et check- out. Malgré tout c'est un magnifique hôtel avec des chambres spacieuses et très bien entretenues.

On our wedding day treated terribly by a dreadful lady called Ursula. Having stayed in the shelbourne since the 80’s as a child it is clear to me the Marriott group has got it terribly wrong. I will definitely never stay there again.

Great that the Shelbourne now prioritises their residents over the walk-in customers. Was great to see that a dedicated area for residents have opened in all the bars. We had the most stunning bedrooms and enjoyed also lounging around with our young adult kids and catching up.

Rude checking in staff member, toilet panel kept falling off in our room, wrong meal served in saddle room which meant one of our parties meal arrived after we had all finished! No refund or discount offered. They didn’t eat their meal as they didn’t want to eat after we had all finished! Really poor for an expensive restaurant.

Excellent location in Dublin
My husband and I stayed here as our first trip to Dublin and we were blown away! The location is excellent and the accommodations were above and beyond. We were so comfortable and loved that we could walk to many locations nearby. The only thing we noted about our room is that it was a little warm and the duvet was very heavy, but that may just be our preference. Everything else was superb!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shelbourne. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location cannot be beat. Plus, it had plenty of amenities that make it feel like a real vacation. Two minor areas for improvement: we had house keeping staff open the door without knocking on at least 3 occasions, once while we were sound asleep. We understand there is the Do Not Disturb tag but we didn’t expect disturbances at 7 am, 9 pm etc. Final minor complaint is that the room was hot, about 8 degrees warmer than our sleeping comfort. We could turn the air conditioning on but this did very little. And the windows barely cracked open. If you’re a hot sleeper, this would be a problem for you.

Lovely hotel in central location

First time to stay, a beautiful landmark Irish hotel. Deluxe room overlooked the back and an office building, I guess the views are kept for the suites. Recommend 1824 bar for a cocktail. Breakfast buffet was not as extensive as Dublins other 5-stars. Terrible hairdryer in our room. But overall very good.

Sometimes you do get what you pay for - pricey but wonderful. The main bar No. 27, is popular and service is great, but it was too loud and busy for me. However the Terrace upstairs and the Horseshoe bars were both lovely, quiet and relaxing. Great pool and spa, and the hotel finish is lovely, all green marble and gilt trimmings. Door staff very helpful and friendly. We had a very nice lunch in No. 27, and 2 wonderful meals in the Saddle Room restaurant. The location is great - a bit quieter, right next to St Stephen's park, but you can easily walk to the lively Temple Bar area and Grafton Street. I hope we can visit again someday.

Best in Dublin
This is a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. It is very easy to walk to wonderful shopping, restaurants and food. The hotel also is in walking distance to several attractions such as Trinity College and Dublin Castle. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The hotel bars and food are excellent with an option or vibe for whatever you are looking for. I will certainly be staying again when I return to Dublin.
