The old sawmill was beautiful, everything from the comfort of the beds, the delicious food and the friendly staff was perfect. Would highly recommend, great price.

Very pleasantly surprised and impressed with virtually every aspect of our stay at the Sawmill Inn. All of the staff were excellent' Our "dog friendly" room was perfect and suited our needs. Very clean, tidy and quiet. Food in the restaurant was superb, not just plain old "pub grub". Hat off to the Chef for his efforts. All in all we had a very enjoyable experience at the Sawmill, will happily return there and strongly recommend it.

I could not contact The Sawmills (at 9:32pm) to say that I had arrived as their phone contact number was turned off. I tried unsuccessfully for half an hour. This resulted in a wasted overall journey time of over four hours plus the cost of fuel. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Lovely room apart from the constant noise from what may have been a boiler or extractor. We stayed 2 nights and the complimentary breakfast of fruit & croissants could not be faulted. Tea/coffee and even 2 hot chocolate drinks were useful but only 4 cartons of milk meant drinks were rationed. Unfortunately we left each day before the Inn opened and arrived back after closing so did not see any staff to request more. It would have been useful to be told that staff would not visit our room during our stay to replenish used items.

Our Sat Nav had terrible trouble with the Post Code but had a lovely stay when we found the location. Nice room & area to explore.

This was a disappointing experience. My room had recently been renovated and was large and clean but the bathroom ridiculously small with the smallest shower area possible. There was no soap in the dispenser which was meant to serve both sink and shower. Suppose that is one advantage of a micro bathroom. Soap issue resolved by friendly member of staff. Biggest disappointment was NO breakfast! Just a small croissant, an orange and an apple left outside the room supplemented by the most awful porridge in a pot and cheapest instant Nescafé. Unacceptable for £100!

Did like, the bar & food on the pricey side, but very good, food choice excellent. Parking very good. Didn't like, no breakfast (but at there sister place 15 minutes away) all they offered was fruit, instant porridge, plus one croissant. In room three you have to sit on the toilet as the roof slopes in over it. No double quilt only 2 singles.

Very spacious and clean room. Very comfy bed and lovely furnishings. Parking wasnt a problem but could be on a busy night as there are no designated spaces for residents. Great location for local walks and Coomb Martin.

Very lovely please food and drink available. Looks lovely and clean. Room 1 was lovely and clean bed was lovely to sleep on. Lots of coffee and tea hot chocolate fruit teas. There was something for our breakfast left out the door. ( as we didn't book breakfast). However there was a noise all through the night which kept me awake from what sounded like a loud extractor fan ( as we were I believe above the kitchen). I would however stay there again but definitely not in room 1.

Perfect for our Needs
Our greeting was very friendly and helpful. Our cases were taken to our room and we were asked if we were satisfied with its arrangement. The table in the room was quite small, particularly when you have to have your breakfast there. The sloping eaves caused me some problems. I kept banging my head. I am of average height. We were in room one. The noise from what I assume were the kitchen extractor fans was a little loud. Fortunately, it did not overly bother my partner or me, but we could see that it might bother other people. Overall, our stay was perfect for our needs. We were visiting a friend locally.

We had a lovely time at the sawmills, can’t fault it in any way, the manager and the crew so friendly our room was lovely and the fruit and croissant left by our door for the morning was a lovely touch..

They really can't cope with you staying more than one night. Tea/Coffee in room OK. They don't do breakfast other than a fruit basket with a croissant. But the porridge ran out, I had to ask the cleaner to replace as they don't clean the room daily (which isn't in itself a problem) so the cups & spoons were not cleaned or replaced. I ended up with no spoons left to eat my porridge with a knife! I was never asked how things were and after speaking to the cleaner I had to leave my own dirty plates outside. The room itself was comfortable & very clean.

Dog walker or not, both are welcome. Our room was spotless, well furnished and all modern fittings. Access to the accommodation via either the Bar, or around the rear is a private entrance that you can use to come and go, at your convenience. It is just one flight of stairs to all the rooms as everything else is on ground level. From the moment we arrived, we found all the Staff friendly and very welcoming, until the moment we left. As too with the rooms, both the Bar and Resturant were spotlessly clean, the selection of Wines and Beers was quite good. I only say that as they didn't stock my normal tipple, (Newcastle Brown). Needless to say their selection of Tap and Bottled Beers, Ciders and Lagers more than made up for it. The food was fanastic, from the Nachos to the Fresh Prawns. We enjoyed everything we ordered, the service and speed of food were excellent, which obviously shows how well the Chef runs the kitchen, 10/10 to everyone at The Sawmill, we will be going back again.

It was very clean, rooms was very comfortable and spacious, staff was very friendly we only stayed one night was a last minute booking and i think it was a good choice we would go back there and definitely recommend it. Food was nice couldnt really fault it and was nice to sit in the garden with a drink after.

The room accommodation was excellent and had everything that we could want for our short stay. Refreshments were provided which was a very nice touch and the Manager who we spoke to was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again at the property.
