L hotel etais tres bien bien situe une vue parfaite sur le lac et a proximite de tout les attraits parcontre le personnel de l hotel n etais pas tres serviable et on semblais les deranger le fait que nous parlions francais semblais les offusquer aucun effort de leur part pour ns guider et le jeune monsieur n a pas apprecié que l on reserve par hotel.com

Needs help
Staff was friendly. Room was very, very dirty. The pillows had the brown drool stains from previous guests. This room should have been renovated 30 years ago. Even for $100, this place isn’t worth it.

Great stay
Our stay was for 3 days just to get away and relax and all was great except we didn't think to bring our bathing suits. After closing our own pool we didn't consider theirs would be open and from what we heard was great. The breakfast leaves a bit to be desired as granola bars and coffee is not a breakfast but I never rely on hotels to offer much.

The pool was closed, which was disappointing. They were under construction during our stay. They parking lot was overcrowded. We couldnt check into our room on time waited in hour. Oir room was dirt and in poor quality. The seal around the tub was falling off and moldy. The towls were stained and the room was filled with stains on the wall, ceiling, lampshades and ect.

Disappointing
The room we had is not set up user friendly, Coffee pot is on top of fridge in closet area around the other side of the bathroom -where water is. Coffee is weak. Balcony's view is siding of the hotel next door, quite close, so no view. Room to s dinghy. If you just want to sleep it's ok I guess. Hotels are not what they used to be. Charges a lot just to sleep and shower.... No breakfast. Just seems like the hotels here lack in upkeep of Buildings, Just doing what they have to keep them open. Probably won't stay in Mackinaw City again... Twice now and just disappointing.

It was very outdated. The room had a musty smell to it. The heating unit went out in the middle of the night. The toilet was loose from the wall. We stayed two nights and our room was never serviced.

Our bathroom had black bold all around the tub. The rooms stink, the balcony was wobbly and disgustingly dirty. The entire property is run down, dirty and moldy. I will never stay here again. The front office staff were excellent though and very helpful

Very upset that I paid extra for the king bed and jacuzzi tub. That tub is a nightmare! Think your gonna get in, relax and enjoy some peace after a day of walking around?? NOPE! Those jets were like super charged and shoot probably 3 feet higher than the tub itself. Water shot at my partners face while I was turning jets on and while I was turning them off, not to mention everything in the room and our belongings got splashed!! Would’ve really appreciated a heads up or warning before we used the tub we paid EXTRA for. Also beds are hard and not the cleanest was finding stains in the sheets on the first night. Overall will not return to this hotel and I’d suggest paying the extra money for a good stay with your family. The

Carpet was very dirty with stains all over the place. Wallpaper was falling off in several places and balcony did not feel safe to walk out on. Our heat quit working around 9:00 pm as we were falling asleep. We assumed at the time it would kick back on and woke up at 1:30 freezing. We looked for fuse box with none in the room and called front desk with full mailbox and no instructions who to reach that late. Started calling around 7:30 and then at 8 reached someone and she argues with me about it. Said they're open until midnight and that the call should've been transferred to someone after that. I told her mailbox was full and no other options. She said she'd see who was on and come take a look at it. Why bother at that point. We had to be out by 10. We told them at checkout again about issue and no apologies at all! We didn't ask for refund or anything, just common courtesy and nothing from them! Only good part of our stay was warm shower with a decent shower head and heat light!

Run down facilities for pricing the bathroom wall switches and ceiling fan wasn't even finished (boxes in) there was a gap around the air conditioning unit going outside right by the bed , sliding door was really rough.

Great location
The only complaints I have is that the stair railing had spider webs with spiders, the one ceiling light was not working, and the bathroom sink was slow draining. The location was great right on the beach. Close to shopping and restaurants. We could walk to where we wanted to go.

I was satisfied with the cost of the room. The rooms are outdated but it suited our needs. Our room was clean overall and there was plenty of towels and toiletries. The bed was as comfortable as well as the pillows.

This hotel is SO dirty! We had the king beachfront room. Walking in smelled like mildew so bad i had to go to the store and buy my own cleaning products. Very outdated and unkept. The "balcony" was so dirty and full of spider webs and spriders we couldnt even go out there to enjoy the view. We did go to the pool area which the pool was the cleanest place on the property. The free breakfast was non existent. In our room we had to unplug everything from the power strip to use the microwave. T.V barley worked, Lady at the desk told me they have a grab and go breakfast at the front desk in the morning, they have granola bars..... I will never spend that kind of money for a room here EVER AGAIN. If i were expedia i wouldnt even give them as an option!!!!! Wish i could get a refund.

Really nice hotel in a great location
Karen at the front desk was fast and efficient. She was very helpful getting us tickets to the ferry to go to the island. A shuttle picked us up promptly at the hotel to take us to the ferry. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was close to shops and restaurants. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and shampoo. I will definitely stay there again.

Dirty and old
Outside of the friendliness and service of the staff there are no other redeeming qualities of this hotel. The room was pretty gross with wet, stinky carpet, stains all over walls and doors and cracking tile. If you plan on spending more than time sleeping in your room, look elsewhere.

After reading the Expedia ratings, I was hesitant to book this hotel. There were quite a few negative ratings but then again there were several excellent ratings so I booked a hotel and it met all my expectations I knew for the price it wasn’t going to be a top class place, in fact, I rented it because we could park right in front of the door. The television worked fine, the Internet came up right away, the coffee pot made good coffee. The beds were very comfortable. Very few electrical outlets. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We spent one day on Mackinac Island. The hotel arranged a free shuttle to take us to the Mackinac Island ferry terminal, which was very convenient.

Outdated and falling apart
Room was falling apart! The trim that the chain lock was attached to wasnt even attached to the wall. The balcony screen looked like birds ran into it and pooped all over. They found me a pack n play (I had requested one in my booking but they didn't have one) it was broken and we had to prop all the legs on books and flip flops so it didn't bring back up. They didn't have any extra pillows. View of the lake was beautiful and really the only thing that made it worth it.

The website says pet friendly and many people had dogs but we were told no pets in the room when others weren’t so not really sure what the pet policy is then. Pool was very nice hot tub is very hot. The beach here is beautiful.

The room was not clean. Dust on lamp shades, curtains, and particles that weren’t swept up off the floor from a previous guest. The safety strips in the bathtub peeling up to stand on. The safety chain on the door was broken. This was not a pleasant experience at all.
