Moyen âge !
En arrivant on se croit a l époque du moyen âge.. C est pas dérangeant , le décor de la salle du petit déjeuner et dans la même ambiance. Accueil sympa a la réception tout été prêt . chambre style petit studio, toute la famille ensemble avec deux chambres séparées petit salon au milieu avec Tv . Petit déjeuner pas compris dans la chambre mais très bien. C est vrai que c est un peu vieux , cet hotel mériterai un coup de frais ( peinture) par contre la ville de Christchurch ne s est pas relevée du tremblement de terre de 2011, son centre ville est abandonné ..

Très bel hôtel, bonne situation
Très bon hôtel, très charmant, décoration originale. Excellent accueil. Grande chambre très confortable. A 10 min en bus (ligne B, toutes les 15 mins max) du centre de Christchurch et 3 min à pied des commerces et restaurants de Merivale.

Lovely old England style prooerty on the outside, and beautufully refurbished rooms in the interior. Our suites were very large wuth modern bathrooms, cimfirtabke beds, and great sitting rooms. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Unique old England architecture. Staff helpful. Sadly we did not receive notice pool was closed until it was too late to change plans. Restaurant is excellent but it’s necessary to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to it. Easy safe walk to nearby pubs and park.

Lovely accommodation and restaurant. But...I don't know why these chain hotels charge a credit card surcharge. Smaller hotels don't so why the larger ones...Most clients will be paying by CC so it just seems like a price hike.

Without passing on this cost, we would essentially bear an annual overhead of approx. 50,000. This is a burden that, in fairness, should be attributed to the customer using their credit card, rather than being absorbed by us. To offer alternatives, we provide options for cash and EFTPOS payments, both of which do not incur any surcharge.It's also worth mentioning that many small businesses in NZ have adopted a similar approach due to the financial constraints they face. Very nice staff who did all the right things when we had an issue with the plumbing. Also contacted us when they found we had left behind our charging unit and cords. They then arranged forwarding them to us, although at the required cost. Units were a little dated and in need of refurbishing, though it was all clean and tidy.

Room was mouldly, hairs throughout bathroom, room smelt very bad, fridge didnt work, hairdryer didnt work correctly, mattress was uncomfortable, outdoor stairs were not gritted and were icy, heater in bathroom didnt work. Breakfast was good tho. Our room was surrounded by residents staying, no parking near room. Very old room not upgraded in anyway. Wont be staying again. Not many good things to report here.

The hotel on a whole seemed smart and clean and the advertising was promising, but we found our room very dingy and dated and over priced. We booked for 4 but there was only 2 cups, (but when we tracked down staff they gave us more), areas in the bathroom were dirty and all over we were disappointed.

The staff were on point. The restaurant staff were professional gracious with late breakfast guests (we slept in). The cleaners kindly cleaned the 2 bed apartment every day to a very high standard, even when we forgot to put the sign out. The pubs nearby were quiet but entertaining for dinner. The area is safe, quiet but quite abit going on if you venture out to find a lodge for dinner and a drink.

Our room was so spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff were very helpful as well. Location was perfect for us as we were able to walk into the city and Hagley Park as well as being close to the Merivale shops. Would definitely stay here again!

Our room was lovely, spacious and warm which was great in the middle of winter. Staff were lovely and friendly. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the parking wasn't marked and so vehicles were parked awkwardly and we weren't sure where we should park. The hotel is a mix between a hotel and motel - looks like a lovely motel, but lacking bowls, cutlery and microwave that would have made our stay perfect. Also we were only provided two glasses, two mugs, even though three of us were staying. We were impressed with the decor and cleanliness.

I can't recommended this hotel enough. I travelled from Queenstown to visit my mother. The staff went above and beyond to assist. Check-in was extremely welcoming. The room was perfect and worked well for all my comings and goings. I will be visiting a few more times over the coming weeks and without doubt will not look elsewhere for my accommodations. Excellent hotel
