“Super 8”

Overall decent hotel. Breakfast was limited. Parking was difficult. Room was clean and comfortable. Easy access to public transportation. Neighborhood was ok.

“Not bad for a low-budget motel”

Shampoo and coffee did not get replenished by room service. To call the internet connection slow and stable would be to give it two compliments too many.

“Good location when you are in a squeeze”

This place is run by the surliest folk imaginable, who seem to think serving you is the least of their concerns. That said, the place, whilst threadbare, does the job when you have things to do in the Northside and/or Evanston and need a solid "name" hotel. Can't really give much more an endorsement than that, mind you...

“Great Location”

The breakfast area is tiny - 2 small tables with seating for 6 and there is no business center. However the location is excellent -- near Lake Michigan in a nice quiet neighborhood with bus service directly to the Loop.

“Affordable Hotel Convenient to Northwestern University”

This hotel offers free parking onsite, which was a very nice suprise! Our room was equipped with a mini fridge and a microwave, which we also did not expect. The room was large and comfortable. The decor seemed outdated, but that is generally expected when staying at a hotel that leans more toward the economy end of the spectrum. The room and the bathroom were clean and in good repair. The water pressure from the shower was lacking, and the shower head was oddly positioned very low on the wall. When we arrived at the hotel on Friday night, the night attendant was away from the desk and we did feel we waited a long time for him to come back. Once he was back at his post, he was friendly and helpful. We went up to our room and relaxed for awhile, then attempted to hook up our laptop to the wireless internet. We had some trouble doing this, and when we went back down to the desk to get help, he was gone again and there was another group of travelers appearing visibly frustrating that the desk was unattended. We then gave up on the internet and went to bed. We attended a football game at Ryan Field on campus at Northwestern University, and we thought the hotel location was convenient to the field.

“VERY convenient”

Just three blocks east of the Red line. Convenient-priced right - clean. Rooms were fine for the two of us. Continental breakfast was good. Just 2 blocks from the lake, right on a bus line. We would definately stay there again.

“Good location at a resaonable price”

This hotel was very convenient to Loyola University. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was old but clean and well maintained. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it got me through until lunch. Parking was free and that's a plus in this area.

“Comfortable hotel with a helful staff”

Only stayed one night but aside from a little age on the furnishings, it was as good a room as I've ever had anywhere and the staff was very helpful.
