Very nice room! Quiet and convenient parking. Breakfast was fantastic with eggs Benedict and a blueberry French toast strudel. We stayed at the end of the season but highly recommended the restaurant at the Basin Harbor

Fabulous B&B in Vermont! Hosts were kind, bed comfy, and the breakfast delicious! Would stay again. Area is typical Vermont- vast green space with little else happening. Wonderful place to stay while driving through the state.

We had a lovely stay following our dinner in Vermont evening out. Room was large and clean, very well appointed, and breakfast in the morning was perfect.

Excellent bed, shower, and breakfast so it hit my big B&B 3. It’s beautiful setting, not too fancy, but more than homey. The owners were friendly and down to earth, loved their well behaved dog. Lovely antiques throughout and thoughtful touches like an instant hot water faucet for tea which was easy to access, wine glasses and bottle opener in your room, samples of shampoo bars which encourage people (I hope) to eliminate some single use plastic. Close to Burlington, minutes from Vergennes village. I would stay again.

The Strong House Inn is an absolute treasure. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly, attentive, accommodating and professional. Breakfast was included but easily could have charged $15 per person - everything was so delicious - better than most breakfast restaurants. They also served coffee (best coffee I've had in a long time) and orange juice with the meal. The grounds are serene and breathtaking. Beautiful, mature landscaping in a quaint setting. There's a nice farm view across the street. (There was a slight odor, but the flowers did a good job of masking most of it). We stayed in the Sheraton room. We were very impressed with the quality of the mattress, pillows and bedding. The room is on the central AC so it stayed very comfortable despite unusually high temperatures for May. There was even a box fan in the closet. (I prefer to sleep with a fan so that was a nice surprise). I highly recommend this property.

Weekend stay
Even though our room wasn’t ready and we had to be at a wake by 5 the owner let us into another room to get ready had us leave our bags and she brought them to our room for us. Our room was beautiful. The owners were amazing and very welcoming. Their new puppy was absolutely adorable and very friendly. I would highly recommend everyone to stay here

Great B & B
Amy and DJ are the best hosts. The breakfasts were tasty and there was always plenty of coffee. They always had suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Check-in & checkout were easy. The room was clean. We stayed in the separate building so it would be a little more quiet. Note that breakfast was served in the main building, so you'll need to bundle up in winter. We would stay again.

It was neat staying in a building that was built in 1830. But our unit’s restroom was just too small for 6’2” person. (On the other hand, that restroom is scheduled to be remodeled and enlarged soon! 🤓) Other than that, our stay at Strong House was just fine!

Very charming bed and breakfast inn. Comfortable and inviting room, clean sheets. Had the best breakfast on the whole trip: poached egg with prosciutto, slice of fresh cantaloupe, freshly brewed cup of coffe and a just out of oven strawberry pastry = heaven! Highly recommend this B&B.

The room is small. And the accommodations aren’t comfy. Poor lighting. No tv. Unless you stream it. For the price of the room I feel very letdown

Thank you for your feedback! It will allow us to know what changes need to be made. We just switched to the Roku TV's so it is helpful to know if this will be a good fit for our guests or not. We purchased brand new mattresses for the Inn with the hope that it would be a good fit for our guests, I apologize it was not a fit for you. We hope that the next time you find yourself in town for family, you will consider one of our larger rooms. Safe Travels.

Oustanding Hospitality
This is a lovely inn with two very welcoming Innkeepers. T he breakfasts were outstanding and the outdoor spaces including a lovely fenced in garden with outdoor space heaters made it easy to stay socially distanced. Breakfast groups were also spaced well apart inside the Inn which is nicely located in Vergennes with beautiful vistas all around. Definitely recommend!

We flew into Boston, and it took us 6-1/2 hours to get to Vergennes because of the traffic. The hosts, Amy and DJ, could not have been more understanding and friendly. The room was comfortable, the property is gorgeous, and the breakfast was blueberry pancakes to die for! Loved our time here:)

Historic house, nicely appointed, Amy and Dj were fun innkeepers. I also loved the town of Vergennes....gorgeous stores, a great restaurant (3 cubes) and a gorgeous library all on 3 blocks!

Beautiful Inn in Vermont
We had a lovely room in a house away from the main house. It was on the first floor and very tastefully decorated. The Inn was very nice but unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy it because we had to leave so early the next morning. I would love to come back and spend more time there.

Great B&B!
Fantastic stay! The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful, the house and room were adorable, and the bed comfy and cozy. Close to many great Vermont locations. I would definitely stay again!
