“très bon hôtel”
très satisfaisant
“Un hotel vogant au milieu des vignes comme une croisière...”
Cet hotel situé entre St Emilion et Libourne est merveilleusemenyt situé au milieu des vignes. Son chateau XIX lui confère une stature imposante mais les chambres avec terasses sur les vignes sont comme les cabines luxueuses d'un paquebot vogant fièrement...le service est distingué, la piscine très agréable. Petit déjeuner rafiné. Le prix reste élévé mais justifié par la prestation de très bon niveau.
“Just average”
We booked a deluxe room for 3 nights in mid October. The hotel heating/cooling system is apparently an either or - either you can have AC or heat, but not both. We arrived the day after they had switched from AC to heat. However, the first room they gave us, after unpacking, we found the heating system was not working. As temperatures get to the low 50's at night, this was not acceptable. We had to re-pack and move to another room in an out-building - some 5 minutes walk from the main bulding. Taking a shower was an exercise in patience as it we had to run all taps for a full 3/4 minutes before hot water arrived. What an environmental waste. The hotel dining room is beautiful but the food is only average (although the cheese table was superb)
“A missed opportunity”
Whoever built the Chateau originally would be very sad if he saw what has happened to it. The magnificent Chateau has been dummed down on with newly constructed additions that are out of sync with the feel and quality of the original.The hotel is a typical example of an absentee owner who is focused on the bottom line rather than quality and undoubtedly this hotel will need sizeable investment in its infrastructure and maintenance. There are sprinkler systems on the grounds which have not worked in a very long time resulting in a parched landscape rather than the park setting it deserves. Deferred maintenance is evident. The hotel recently changed the a/c system in a way that the individual guests can no longer control the temperature, but it is the hotel which determines what is comfortable. We were there during a heat wave and the entire a/c system broke down. The good news is that location is excellent, the original chateau is still beautiful, and unless you are there during the hot season, you should be ok with the temperture settings. One towel per person which you must also use at the pool is a ridicolous standard for a luxury hotel. The rooms in the new addition are functional and adequate and still compare favorably to many other hotels in the area. The staff of the hotel are trying to do a good job but they are indeed handicapped by realities they can't overcome. A great opportunity has been missed by opting for average when great would have been within reach.

“Atrocious service”
Both of the people at the reception office were very rude to both me & my wife. They had a real snobbish air. To top checkin off, we only had two small bags, and when the bellman offered to take them we said we were OK, and he developed a horrid attitude and began complaining in French. Our room was ok & the bathroom was very nice. We ate lunch at the restaurant and the staff there was very nice to us. However, each and every time I had to deal with the front desk, they were terrible. They never even showed us the grounds or explained where anything was, such as the pool. I would suggest visiting for lunch/dinner and taking pics if you're into that sort of thing, but I would never stay there again. It is WAY overpriced and the antiamerican sentiment oozes from the front desk. On our trip we stayed at about 10 different hotels ranging from 2 to 4 star and this was by far our least favorite and, unfortunately, most expensive.
“Dont be Fooled”
We travel alot and this was not as impressive as it looks. The chateau and landscape are beautiful but you might as well just visit for a walk of the grounds and take photos but do not sleep there. I booked a deluxe rooom at the Chateau, because I thought we would be staying in the beauful chateau that is in all thier photos. Unfortunately when i arrived they walked me to a completely diffetent new building. I wonder if I had booked a regular room, would they have given me a room in their stables. I wonder what it takes to actually sleep in the chataeu. They have a nice trick, with thier recent additions of two buildings with new rooms over the vineyards. Don't be fooled. Also customer service is very weak for a small luxury hotel like this one. We booked a dinner reservation at their restaurant and although the restaurant was not even close to full they did not want to offer us one of the many empty tables on the patio. We waited for a menu or a glass of water but neither came within 30 minutes, so we decided to get up and leave and head into town. Funny thing is nobody even noticed we left. Anyway, god luck with this so called luxury hotel. The only thing luxury is the chateau itself.
“ブドウ畑に囲まれて”
世界遺産、サンテミリオンの街からは車で約5分。 シャトーの周りもブドウ畑に囲まれ、ボルドーに来たことを実感できるすばらしい環境のホテルです。 レストランも併設されており、これはかなりなレベルのレストラン。 ホテル前の駐車場にはポルシェ、メルセデス等、超高級車がずらり。 ちょうどブドウ収穫の数週間前の訪問で、どの木もたわわに実ったブドウの房でいっぱい。 朝、窓から眺めたブドウ畑の風景は一生忘れられません。

シャトー見学の為の立地（フィジャックの裏手）としては なかなかです。 車で来ないと不便な場所ですが 部屋サイズや清潔さは、申し分なかった。 レストランも 雰囲気が、あり 思っていたより 料理もレベルが、高く おすすめできる内容だった。 ただし 人によるサービスは、安宿ではないので もうちょっと努力が、必要。
