“chouette hotel, un bel écrin, mélange de styles arabes, andalous, chinois”
chouette hotel, au pied du métro aérien, dans un quartier plus typique que d'autres. allez y, cela ne ressemble a rien d'autre ... tout comme la Thailande !!
“Ensemble moyen”
Personnel agréable mais l hotel est un peu loin des sites touristiques. cependant, le metro est proche. Le quartier est tres sale !!
“It's OK for the price”
The shower head is quite low. The furniture a little dusty. The staff was very accommodating. I wish they had a better selection of cable channels. I had purchased breakfast for 2 for my stay. I was told my friend can join me. One of the staff approached my friend a little rudely saying she could not eat there. He should have asked prior and not after he watched her eat. He saw he was wrong after he checked in the computer. It's walking distance to the BTS, the breakfast was good. The elevator has a moldy smell. If you can get passed being used to a 4 star hotel this hotel will do. For the most part I used it as a place to crash; I was very busy from 8am to 10pm. I stayed in this hotel because it was close to my friend's condo. Would I stay again? Yes I would.
“Continued Satisfaction”
Have stayed at this hotel many time now..... it is consistently good. This is value based accommodation, with a excellent location, at the right price.
“Would definitely stay there again”
At check in I was immediately charmed by the interior of the lobby. I like the style and layout, which I can only describe as exotic. As I went up to my room I noticed that the paint had chipped off the flooring of the hallways, which gave the place a well-used sort, but I still liked the feel of the place very much. It has a character which suits me. I liked my room. It had a nice, big comfortable bed which afforded a good night's sleep. I liked the shower and toilet area because of the feeling of the tiling and the funky little window shaped like something you might see in a mosque. The lighting of the room was very adequate, though I took it upon myself to move an adjustable lamp over to the bedside so I could get better lighting for reading in bed. The TV programs available in the room were an interesting mix of broadcasts from various countries, though I was very disappointed to see that Fox was the only news available from the US. My disappointment stems from the fact that Fox offers opinion in lieu of news, and I find that to be a disservice. In fact, the best reporting I could get in English was from Al Jezirra (sp.?). Even though I find CNN and BBC to be more slanted than I would prefer, at least they attempt to report news and not propaganda as Fox does. But I digress. Moving on to the morning buffet, I would have to say it's adequate. It had a mix of Thai dishes and western food though the real treat was the fresh fruits.
“Excellent Value for Price”
I chose this hotel because it claimed to be "close to the airport". It took between 1/2 hour to an hour back and forth to the airport depending on traffic & time of day. Very unique, boutique style, I was impressed with the value.
“Great place”
GReat place to stay. beautiful decore, only complaint is it is quite a fair distance from most things in bangkok, however it is right next to the skytrain station which negates this.
“Great Location, but hotel itself is a little lacking”
The only reason why I would stay here again is because of location. I've stayed in over 10 different hotels of all ranges in Bangkok, and this hotel has been the most convenient because it is right next to the BTS (and also next to a Tesco). It is clean, and everything promised is delivered (although wireless internet doesn't reach any of the rooms farthest from the elevators -- should definitely check on that if wireless internet is important for you). BUT, for the price, you don't really get much. The whole hotel has a bit of an old and dingy feel (though not dirty at all). The rooms are tiny, the bathrooms even smaller. My knees were up against the wall when sitting on the toilet. The sink has an annoying ledge over it, which prevents you from washing your face, over the sink, unless you're shorter than 5 feet. The showers were made for a 4 foot tall person. The water heater in our shower wasn't very good, and I had to slow the water to a trickle in order for it to be warm enough to be comfortable. There's only one chair in the room, which is annoying because both my wife and I like to work on our computers when travelling. If you like to experience something a little nicer when travelling, I would stay away from this hotel -- but if location and saving money is important to you, then I would recommend this hotel.
“Impressed”
This hotel was very convenient as it was very close to the Skytrain station and a good supermarket. The tour desk staff were not very helpful, but all other staff were very accommodating including packed breakfast when we were heading out of town. Not far to the airport also. The bathrooms were not very large, but the rooms were very comfortable.
“SO SO Hotel”
The location of the hotel is OK. A bit far from many good touristy areas. If you like to be all my yourself this is a good location. Well they do have a day/night market very close. It was OK. But all the bars, clubs, malls, street shoping, and places to get a cheap massage were far away. The room its self was OK. The A/C MUSt be on strong for it to the cool the room. If you just lower the temperature it will not cool that room that well. The food was OK. Kinda crapy compared to others in BKK. had limited amount of variety of food. No eggs, ham, or other stuff commenly found at breakfast melas in BKK hotels. The pool SUCKED. It was not outdoor. It was indoor. It was in the middle on the hotel kinda of outside, but it had a plastic roof over the pool area. The water was cold, no sun hits it, no way to get a tan from BKK sunlight. You need to pay maybe $1.50 USD each way to get to a good area by BTS Train. But why take that time and money and stay some where closer to the action with better pool and better breakfast for the same price or just a little more. I would not stay here again.
