“an overall impressive hotel”
the hotel is very clean, and nice. the staff wasn't very friendly though. some didn't even bother help us with our baggage. location was excellent as it was right at the back of one of the major malls there.
“Best location in Bangkok”
I really loved this hotel. Its co-location with Centara Point and its shopping and activities made the stay in Bangkok very nice. Movies, shopping and great food were all available just a short elevator ride away. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help.

Good location, great views and friendly staff are the winning aspects of this great looking hotel.This was our 6th trip to Bangkok and 5th hotel in this wonderful city. Of all of the hotels we have stayed in it is in the top 3. The hotel is modern, clean and has wonderful views. Our only criticism would be that there was no milk (either fresh or UHT) or an iron & board available (both generally available in all of the better hotels). Getting milk turned into a soap opera experience but after 3 calls we were finally able to receive some. Being able to use the fitness centre facilities, after checkout and prior to leaving Bangkok, was a pleasant experience - due to the reception staff who were all very friendly. I would recommend especially if you want to be near the SkyTrain, shopping and tourist attractions.
“perfect stay in Bangkok”
We stayed for 4 nights. The check-in on the 23rd floor is something to get used to. The hotel room was very nice, clean and modern, with huge bath and a relaxing rainfall shower. The 55th floor open-air bar was great, fantastic views over the city ( bar closes at 1am) but if you don;t suffer from vertigo, you can go up the glass stairs to the club area, and you can sit on the sofas or keep dancing. We were out most of the time, sight-seeing and shopping, so didn't use pool or restaurants. we had view of the 26th floor pool from out room, looked great and had we stayed longer we would have used it.There are good food deals to be had in the restaurants- every night a different theme- multicultural eating, for argentinian night, foie gras night etc, incl bottle of wine per couple for a reasonable price. As mentioned before, the location is perfect for the Sukhumvit malls and sky train, but when we arrived we found that part of the Central World was being refurbished with no direct access from the skywalk, but no big deal to walk around.

The hotel is clean, the facility is quite good, overall, it is worth the value. I would not mind going back there.

We have traveled to more than 250 locations worldwide and must admit that the Grand Centara was the perfect Hotel to stay at! From the moment we arrived too the time we departed the entire staff was warm, friendly and very attentive. Our room had an awesome view, super bathroom with upscale amenities and plush surroundings. The bed was comfotable and the room nicely decorated. The '55' rooftop bar with live entertainment and excellent service was the perfect way to end the day. The "World Travel" desk located on the 23rd floor lobby offered many exciting activites for us to choose from and once again the service rendered was beyond expectations. Overall our experience at Grand Centara was five star and we had NO complaints whatsoever. A well managed and luxurious property with many benefits.
“Nice place to stay in Bangkok for shoppers”
Stayed in the Deluxe room. The room is big with modern decor. Excelent location, within walking distance to Bangkok best shopping malls. Service is very good. Would recommend this hotel for leisure travellers.
“Great Location”
If you want to be in the center of the shopping scene, then this hotel is perfect. The attached mall is impressive, and you are only a short distance away from Bangkok's other shopping destinations.
