We were unable to connect to wifi. Staff were unable to help and we had to wait in our room for a call from tech support. This wasted our time and when they finally called they were unable to resolve the problem. By then most stores were closed. We asked to speak to a manager and were told that would take 3 days.(Monday). We have been staying at various hotels for 2 weeks on our vacation and this was the first time the advertiaed free wifi was not working. Very disappointing.

It’s a nice area easy to get to and close to restaurants. The hotel is older so if everything new is important to you I would pass. It was clean but didn’t give 4 stars because of things like the fitted sheets didn’t fit the bed and could see the mattress, the bottom sheet had piling so bad it bothered me I wore socks to bed. Someone had sprayed something on the wall and picture next to bed and it hadn’t been cleaned off. ( I am guessing a coke) It didn’t feel dirty just needed more attention to detail.

I stay at this property at least one time a year am I only Complaint is there’s a lot of maintenance issues that need to be taken care of. One of the issues with paint was peeling from the ceiling. Another issue was the tub water did not drain I get and the Wi-Fi didn’t work properly. we weren’t able to use the Wi-Fi the whole time because of an issue

We stayed here for a night as part of a road trip, plenty of food options close by and a supermarket directly across the road. I chose it thinking I'd get a nice view of the mountains but arrived a little too late and ended up with a room at the back which was quite dark. Never mind! Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast wasn't great, just ok, waffles were the only decent fresh item and I don't eat them, kids were happy though! Around 15mins to Asheville which is a cute place with tons of restaurants.

Staff was friendly. The room was spotless! No signs of bugs or anything, trust me i check the mattress and everything every time we stay at a Hotel lol. Water pressure and hot water were great! Definitely will stay there again!

This property was comfortable, convenient and I appreciated the ease of having breakfast on site. Nothing fancy but the coffee was good. My only complaint was that the wifi was slow, and streaming movies or extensive internet searching was not feasible. The staff member that greeted me, a lovely older woman, was kind and welcoming. Asheville was near by, and there were a lot of eating options in the quaint and safe surrounds of Black Mountain. I would happily stay again.

Pleasantly surprised
For a cheap motel we were pleasantly surprised. Older, but clean, comfy beds, decent breakfast, friendly staff. Walking distance to several food options, gas station, grocery store and walgreens.

The floor in the bathroom and vanity area are dangerous if damp. The tub should have some permanent grip surface or appliques applied as it is a danger as well. Other than that the facilities were very nice. The room clean and well appointed.

only reason i stayed here is that is says no pets allowed when i checked in i was asked if i had a pet? I asked why and was told pets were charged an extra fee. Never again

Staff excellent and helpful. Pretty location with view of mountains. Lovely pool area, laundry room and breakfast. Spacious room with large refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, nice tv even got HBO! Bathroom had tub and separate vanity sink area. Full length mirror and large closet. Very clean and nice nature photographs on the walls. We chose this motel as close to LEAF music festival, but since also such a GREAT VALUE will be our lodging of choice next time in this area since also convenient to Asheville, Biltmore area, and Blue Ridge Pkwy.

The Breakfast service in the lobby was not explanied to us at all. The desk clerk seemed to be too involved in what I don't know to even greet us and ask us if we needed anything at all. He did come take a "disinterested" look at a waffle maker that we were unsure how to operate and told us it was finished cooking but in fact the waffle was not. We hadn't checked out before we ate but when we returned to the room it was already cleaned. The clerk took the keycards but didn't even offer me a receipt. Seemed I disturbed his time I guess.

There was barely any room service. I had to request it after 3 days. I needed towels and toilet paper. Also, there was no one at the front desk most of the time. Not sure I would stay there again.
